Will that change after he is bald? Was it just a facade to trick people watching the trailer????????? hmm
As much as it's been joked, now more than ever I'm hoping his baldness stems from something life-changing to Lex. I look at that original pic reveal of Jesse, and I see none of that in his performance from the trailer.

I'm more reminded of Riddler and Joker than I am of Lex, and that's frustratingly perplexing.

Same here Jekecy. Nail on the head with riddler remark.

Well said

I am genuinely puzzled at what they're going for with Lex, he just seems nothing like the Lex from the comics or any other incarnation, except for maybe Superman: Brainiac, which is no good comparison to have to make.

The events of this film will turn him from annoying wannabe villain into proper Lex.

I liked his first line because it made me think he really knows who both Clark and Bruce are, like he was hinting at it. But his other scenes, not so much his lines but his performance aren't doing it for me, a bit too over the top. This has been an issue with me every since he spoke at Comic Con and another place where he said, "There is always this campy nature to the character" or something like that and it made me worried because it sounds like he feels the need to ham it up a bit..

He was the highlight of the latest trailer. Now that I can clearly see where they're going with him. I liked that scene where he interrupts the interview.

I'm surprised people haven't seen the irony of that scene at the party.

Bruce and Clark are staring each other down, maybe they suspect who each other really is, or maybe they don't, but they obviously don't like each other and as Batman and Superman they see each other as their biggest threat.

And then here comes wacky zany Lex Luthor, the goofball billionaire whom nobody...including these men who are too busy staring each other down to even pay him any attention...would suspect could be dangerous :cwink:

Lex has his 'mask' too, and he's wearing it in that scene. Bruce and Clark are too busy hating on each other to notice him and I suspect that's how it will all play out in the film...Batman and Superman at each others throats while Lex happily hatches his evil scheme right under their noses.

Anyway I'm loving everything I've seen of Jesse so far, and I most definitely don't think we've seen everything yet...I mean do you think once his plans start going down the drain he's going to be all goofball?

Of course not, we'll get 'menacing Lex' when their is a reason for it, but right now everything is going according to plan and Lex is just having a blast pitting Bats and Supes against each other.

Yeah, let's not forget what has been said about Lex during production:

"Everything is a facade. You have no access to what is inside Lex."

I love the when Eisenberg says "the devil will do it" line and the look on his face is one of a pure mad scientist.

i like this lex portrayal.

and don't worry, with the doomsday creation, at the end of the movie, lex will be hairless and held responsible and no longer eligable for being president ever again.

I love this Lex. We're getting a young, intelligent, zany Luthor that doesn't have a real estate fetish. It only took almost 40 years.
We've gotten a live action Lex who was young, intelligent, zany that didn't have a real estate fetish.

Say hi to Lex!

God bless you! God bless everyone!

It looks like people's worst fear of the fast talking, eccentric, wise cracking Luthor people were skeptical of. His bald menacing look does give hope though.

Until he starts opening his gob again...throw in "and dancing around like a mad fairy" too :o

Judging from this trailer: you can take the Lex out of the Eisenberg, but despite whatever this "bald, menacing monster" he might become, you can't take the Eisenberg out of the Lex...

I don't see Lex at the moment...rather a pedophile or something :wow:

I really don't get the complaints it's clear the excited Luthor we see in the Clark/Bruce scene is a facade. The real Luthor is the one we saw in trailer 2 with the Senator and the one we see flick his fingers toward Lois Lane's head. I am digging this take.

I think Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is the most exciting thing to happen to the character in a long time.

(....actually, saving the world and joining the Justice League recently in the comics is up there too ;))

It's too many Red Bulls, I'm telling ya!
The hair is another telling sign!
