Lex doesn't know who Superman is. Method.

I think if Jesse could be perfect for a DCNU type of Luthor.

When Luthor first shows up in the New 52 Action Comics, he is a super genius, but he is hardly intimidating. He is a sniveling coward who begs for his life.

In the same continuity of DCNU, 5 years later he is quite intimidating and threatening.
Superman even visits him in a jail cell so elaborate, I've never seen one like it built for any other criminal, in any comic book ive ever read, and that includes the Joker. I wish I had scans to better illustrate my point.

Anyways, they could give us a Lex who becomes more threatening and dangerous over time, something I believe Jesse has the acting skills to pull off. If they go that route.

Yeah, I think that's kind of what they're doing. They'll probably treat the loss of his hair as a visual representation of his metamorphosis into a more 'classic' Lex, as opposed to it being a reason why he hates Superman. I doubt they'd get Jesse to play one of the most iconic villains in all fiction only once, so it's more likely that this film is essentially the jumping-off point into a wider character arc. I just hope that he doesn't go to jail, and he gets away scot-free. He is a white-collar criminal, after all.

"That one guy they cast alongside Ben. You know, what's his name...British guy or something. "

Jesse continues to show contempts for comic books, when he says "I don't have as much action scenes as the guy who plays the guy with the red cape". I'm disgusted.

He is placing emphasis on the characters, regardless of who's in those shoes, his statement remains valid.

In a nutshell, he was saying he approached Lex Luthor the same way he would approach a role in an indie drama. I don't see how that's a bad thing.

okay guy,s i will give you a clue about my post
:o

In the modern era of loopy fanboy fussiness, the use of sarcasm can never safely be assumed.

this is true, but those of you who know me a little know that this kind of posts coming from me has to be a joke ^^

Oh yeah! Well the jerk store called, and they ran out of you! :argh:

nothing has ever cut me so deeply in the quick, no blow ever struck by any arch villain has ever hurt me so acutely as that little boy's booh. :csad:

This was the most unkindest cut of all;
For when the noble Shia saw you flame,
Ingratitude, more strong than traitors' arms,
Quite vanquish'd him: then burst his mighty
heart.

this is specifically how I feel right now, and I can safely assume it does summarize quite efficiently Superman's feelings too, when the arrogant Lex Luther taunt him in the scene we see in the trailer.

this roast of Naked Shia is far more entertaining than discussing whether Batman has a fat neck in one picture or whether Joker is Jason Todd
