Priorities, folks.
Last thing on my mind after reading all of that.
People are morons. The sooner you accept that the better off you will be. There is nothing confusing about that article but people are morons so they are confused. The amount of people online who are either hatefully blind or completely naive in thinking the Jr somehow means he's not the real Lex Luthor is staggering. It's like they expect the OTHER Lex to be played by Mark Strong or Bryan Cranston and magically show up some day (despite being dead)
Do these people really exist? LOL

It's like ... UM, people ... Lex Sr died when Clark was a teenager. Can't be Superman's arch nemesis when you're dead before he puts on the suit.Yeah on the Schmoes fan page people were thinking this means Jesse isn't the "real" Lex just because his daddy had the same name...WTF!???
So this is an official, fake article?

Especially when the entire article is coded with warning signs for supervillainy with Eisenberg's Lex. I mean, dad "passed away unexpectedly"? The very subtle damning by feint praise that Lex uses when talking about his dad? His seemingly sarcastic but clearly still condescending thoughts on Kord and Wayne? The entire way his product and world view sound like some mash-up of Steve Jobs at his most charismatic and Joseph Stalin at his most cunning?
This is baaaaaad man with reeeeaaaaallllly good publicity.
He's perfect!

Nice way of putting it.
Seems like this could win some people over to Jesse as Lex.
The guy is going to do for Lex what Ledger did for the Joker.
I hope so. That said... Eh, I am pulling for Jesse, and I think I get the take on Lex they are going for and so far I don't see anything yet that gives me pause... But that's me. The HATE out there is very strong in some corners of the world for this movie. Look at Devin F.'s little snide remarks today. I am not sure if Jesse gave a stellar, engaging and entertaining performance to blow our socks off if that would still be enough to quiet the naysayers. We shall see.
I'm just happy that the marketing seems to be gearing up, even if it's still many months away from release.
The "Faracis" are a vocal minority with awful taste. It's a positive for us when they hate something. After all he's the one that's done a 180 on Netflix's Daredevil after seeing the great reviews it received and he thinks Leto is a bad choice to play Joker for God's sake! He's a parody of himself, I can't take him seriously. As for Lex, I've seen a lot of people open to this take. They may not like his look yet but they're intrigued by the characterization.
