I got the email, and a theory as well. On page 4 of the Gotham times (issue 3) there is an article about the Gotham Girl Guides who raised over $200,000 by selling cookies, even though they were robbed by "thieves in clown masks." Sound suspicious to anyone else? It would be a good front...

What's the connection to the Jim Gordon email though? That's an event that's already happened shouldn't we be looking for something to happen in the future?

as far as what it means...jim usually gives us a heads up as to what is going on if there is something in the FUTURE that we should be aware of. but not something in the past.

did anyone try to submit the static video to the email address?
(this could have already been asked, just checking. i just got home from work)

Check your spam folder, it always goes there for me for some reason. Just Gordon's specifically, no matter what I do to stop it.

Same here, I was in the slipknot sting, and also submitted to we are the answer and nothing-I check both inbox and spam, I actually submitted both of my emails and neither one has it

A few people responded to the email with the static video.

Anyway, as mentioned in this thread already, i'm all for the idea of wiretapped conversations being something to look out for if they should arise. Seems to me like more of those will be coming into play, but we shall see

I don't know, if they stole $200,000 they would now need to launder it so they could spend that kind of cash without raising eyebrows. So in that sense it would not be a good front, it would just create more headaches for them if they already had millions to launder. No insurance to collect, so not even that would be a good angle to pursue.

Well, I went to school, am back home now and have not yet received Gordon's e-mail. Maybe it's REALLY delayed, or maybe it's one of those times when not everyone gets it. Anyway, this e-mail reminds the one Gordon sent before operation slipknot, telling us to be prepared. I think this one was sent for the same reason.

From what I understand not everyone with a joker phone got the email and some people without phones did. Curiouser and curiouser...

Crap, first it's "I did not get a Joker card" then it was "I did not get a Gotham TImes # 3), then it was "I did not get a Batman Mask", now it's "I did not get a Gordon email". The important thing here is that Gordon sent an email out to alert everyone something was gonna happen soon. As far as I can tell, there is no secret code in the email that only I can use, and I am not going to print it out and frame it, so it is of no use to me - I got what I needed out of it long before I actually started up my email and saw it - somethig is going to happen soon. If anyone wants it I can forward it to them if they post their email, or you can read one of the twenty or so posts of it in this thread, or read the transcript in the wiki.

It is almost like we need two threads everytime something happens - one to discuss the happening, and what it might mean, and another just to list the names of everyone who missed out on getting whatever it was.

If you not getting the email advances the game any, then post it. If it does not advance the game any, then quit upping your post count by complaining over and over.
