JJ Abrams/Eric Kripke team up for NBC thriller 'Revolution' - Part 1

They only got word that it was ending last week, what else were you expecting?

They would have the foresight to end it on something besides a cliffhanger for once since they should have known it was likely they would get cancelled?

Very few networks give their shows any kind of notice though.

Well, so it ends just like that. I'm not sad, it wasn't the greatest show of them all but it was ok scifi, like Terra Prima Nova was and it ended the same way.

I think Syfy is the only one that does it now. I think they learned from their Stargate crap of not giving their shows a real ending

So far they have which is surprising. They are all too eager to kill off their genre series but they also give them a shortened final season to wrap them up. Sanctuary got it, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Being Human (although they said it was a creative choice). I think Alphas is the only recent one to come to mind that wasn't given a fair chance to end properly.

& Haven which was given a two season in advanced renewal. I think everybody & even the writers are taking that as a sign that its the final two seasons for Haven

Haven isn't officially cancelled and still has to finish airing its final episodes but they obviously knew the end was coming and prepared accordingly.

would have been a prefect, no cliff hanger finale if they had edited out Priscilla's and the last 5 minutes. good run.

Agreed, it's a shame they didn't get a chance to film scenes of Aaron working out how to shut down the nano permanently as otherwise everything else was wrapped up.

Why can't they continue it or other syfy paranormal series on the SyFy channel after they boot it?

They technically could, but would SyFy do it?

I think a bigger question might be, would you want SyFy to do it? What kind of changes would they dictate and how would they alter it to better fit their network?

Revolution Returns As DC Digital Comic

Revolution's creator and executive producer Eric Kripke penned a special thank you message to fans timed to Wednesday's announcement. "The loyalty you’ve shown Revolution these past months has been touching and overwhelming—it’s meant more to me than you’ll ever know," he wrote. "And solely because of your efforts, we wanted to pay you back—to give you something fantastic. And while, unfortunately, we simply can’t make more episodes of the show (alas, there are financial realities we can’t overcome), we can do the next best thing. Which is end the story. On our terms. Exactly the way we would have."

Although I never saw the 2nd season, will always remember this show for I introducing me to Tracy Spiridakos. Such a hottie!
