JL Casting Call Update

You know I do have to say I read the last two pages and as much of a DC fan that I am (come on I have the Green Lantern symbol tattooed on my right arm) I want to have faith in this movie, but I can't see myself having faith, which sucks to be honest.

Everyone who mentioned this is right, Marvel is right on the ball, most of the movies they make (or had made with other companies) are good to great movies, and I know that Iron Man and Hulk will kick @$$ next year.

You are absolutely right. Marvel is doing it right by building up their solo franchises with quality actors with a huge payoff at the end with The Avengers. And WB/DC is busy running this thing into the ground when all they had to do is be patient and continue to build up Batman, Superman and possibly one other solo movie and then transition into JLA with Bale, Routh etc... Your sig says it all.

You don't actually believe Marvel will manage to make 6-7 solomovies and then manage to get all the actors back for an Avengers-movie? That's like believing in Santa. Just think about it, and if you don't see why it will be close to impossible, then think about it a little bit more. Hints: Logistic and budget.

It's like getting Tobey Maguire, Patrick Stewart, Ed Norton, Wesley Snipes, Ben Affleck, Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and all the other actors to play in the same movie. Manage to pay them and manage to find a timeslot where they all are free.

Actors do make other movies then superheromovies and when known they tend to have a pretty high price-tag.

Marvel's not making any good movies, the only 5 movies that were good were the Xmen movies and the 1st 2 spiderman movies. everything else has pretty much sucked.

Agreed, if and when Avenger is made, there's is no way in hell you'd get some many big names, it'll cost way to much money.

But the point is for the individual movies they are making, they are going all out by getting top notch actors. And the actors themselves seemed more psyched about doing a assembly film moreso than fanboys.

Oh yea, it's gonna be real impossible to get RDJ, Norton and the actors who play Captain America, Thor, Wasp and Ant-Man together to do a movie. Out of the characters who are left to make a solo movie out of, how many of them do you think will get big casting? So what, you think we are going to get Tom Hanks as Ant-Man and Brad Pitt as Thor? The fact of the matter is probably only one of those movies(Captain America) would get a decent sized actor to play the main character. The rest of those movies, if they even get made would be with lesser known actors because lets face it, what high profile actor is going to want to be Ant-Man?

So, if we can get a movie that has George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Al Pacino together, than I think we can get a movie with RDJ, Norton and a couple of other "lesser" profile actors sprinkled in as well.

I can't say what I do because theres only a few people helping me with my job right now so you could probably narrow it down and find me. I can confirm Daniel Cudmore is definitely in talks as Superman as is Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman. Armie Hammer is a done deal as Batman along with Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Common as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as Flash, Teresa Palmer as Talia. I haven't heard anything about Max Lord but Jay Baruchel is a henchman I think for Talia. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

well, for Barry Allen I did hear Ryan Gosling once but it was a while ago and just a suggestion I think. As for the costumes, in the drawings I've seen done by WETA, Green Lantern's costume looks kinda like it does in JLU but its more natural looking (best I could explain) Wonder Woman has a skirt instead of regular undies but other than that its her classic suit. Superman is the classic costume with dark blues bright reds and bright yellows. Batman has quite a few designs. Theyre all grey and black. All ensignias are nothing like Batman Begin's. One has an oval and one looks like it does in Dead End kinda. Flash is dark reds and bright yellows. Martian Manhunter doesn't have a costume he looks like he does in the New Frontier. Aquaman isnt just a orange and green wuss. He's a badass king. He kinda looks like he does in Sword of Atlantis just more badass. Max Lord and Talia look just like they do in the comics.

Welcome to the boards Veilman, but with all the non-facts we have had about this movie i'm sure you understand why people would be reluctant. Considering we won't see the costumes for a while, the quickest way to be legit is to give the name of either Superman or Barry Allen before the official announcement
