I don't think we are getting it. I would think WB would want news like this for their major tentpole for 2009 to be in the trades no later than this morning. That's why I was going on the belief of the announcement being made late Thursday/early Friday. I can't buy into WB making this announcement at a little dinky Wizard World in Texas. If it was ComicCon, then maybe, but I would have bet the farm that WB wants an announcement like this in the trades for today and wouldn't the trades have been printed by now?(Variety and HR?) I guess there is still the chance that it can be just reported on one of their websites but those chances are definitely getting slimmer and slimmer.

Of course by the time I am done typing this the announcement could very well be up somewhere. t:

Well, if you were really to put an emphasis on "by this weekend" one can take it to mean that by the time the weekend started we would know. Not, we would receive the news "on the weekend".

While Wizard World Texas isn't the San Diego Comic Con, it is probably the last big Con of the year (I guess, I really don't expect to hear about anything else). So IF they are going to announce it this year at a con, why not that one?

i just realized that now would be the best time to get Welling just because smallville will be going into hiatus because of the strike LOL!

welling is not a great actor but casting him (if they decide to forgo Routh completely) will gather interest in the film from the public.

yea man i will be pissed if that is true. I am really sick of all this bull on jla. If they really have the cast come out with it already. With all this false news/rumors and fan ideal castings i just want it out already. As others said the longer we dont hear anything on the project the more it looks like it can be canceled and all that. Yea i do want to see a jla film but really wb should have been doing solo films already on some of the other guys like flash, gl, and others.

If this winds up being the case....then I feel really bad for Sanchez over at IESB, because it just makes him and his site look worse when it comes to JL news.

The tide is already turning on his board. I'm sure as the afternoon wears on it's going to get pretty ugly over there.

But in all honesty--hate to knock the guy because I know nothing about him--he kinda brought this on himself.
He should be experienced enough to know how fans react to news and all of this teasing with no payoff is ridiculous.

People have been talking about his hit count since all of the JL stuff. It's almost appears like he jumps on there to throw info out just when things start getting really quiet. But what do I know, he could be just trying to keep us all informed and has fell victim himself. But I would think after the first few times of having things not pan out I would have learned to just keep my mouth shut on things at least until I had Robinov himself or whoever telling me what's up.

Holy No Casting News Today Batman! It appears once again am going home with no cast! I am begining to wonder if the actors they cast even know they have been cast! grrrr! Some one somewhere has to know the truth! or at least something!~ I mean costumes have to be fitted to form these actors! Right? And wouldn't the actors playing Batman and Flash have to have casting made of thier face? You telling me no one knows? These are all things that many people would have to be working on! No one saw any of this being done? What gives!

Come to think of it I do like someone's idea on here earlier about not saying who the actor is that's cast as Batman. You wouldn't know until the ending credits! That would kind of be a new! Never happen! But!

I've met Robert Sanchez before. He's an okay guy, but he's also a hustler. Don't feel sorry for him.

Yea, who knows. Have people forgotten that Variety went out of their way once before to state JLA could fall apart at anytime and was casting dependent and then this past week when they said casting has not been completed and Warner execs are not sure how to proceed?

I don't understand why there are people giving so much more weight to the IESB articles than to the Variety ones considering we already have been misled by so many damn internet rumors surrounding this movie. And I don't think Robert is purposely trying to dupe us, it's just that his sources do not seem to be entirely on the ball with this movie.
