ok last christmas i got mua and beat it easily. just this week i rented jlh and beat it. each game has its pros and cons.

mua:pros
over 20 playable characters
alout of side characters.
good storyline

mua:cons
characters are way to simmilar
short storyline
didnt live up to its hype
new characters only for the xbox 360 and maybe ps3

jlh:pros
fun characters to play as
7 characters to play as with more to buy and only small small similarities
good game play
different than other superhero dungeon crawlers

jlh:cons
story is even shorter than mua's
storyline is obviously copying mua
new characters are hard to level up
game was released at the wrong time (same time as mua)

I really like the JLH's cons, and how they all are about the rip-offs of the Legends/MUA games.

I've noticed that more people have favored MUA over JLH.

Cuz it's just plain better. I love the JLA, and DC and especially John Stewart. But even if you compare JLH to XML1, JLH still comes up a bit short on fun.

Being a ripoff is not a con, most of our favorite games are ripoffs of others. In, fact most of the cons listed there are empty, meaning there are other games that have the same 'con' but nobody cares. The storylines are markedly different, though... not sure how anyone could have thought that. Unless you think "supervillains team up" is a storyline.

What ACTUALLY made JLH not fun is the way you were forced to play pre-selected characters for the first five stages. You couldn't cut loose and get busy, you HAD to be this that and the other. This was designed to make the game seem longer, I suppose by varying who you play with automatically, but it actually limited the replayablity. Who wants to start a new game to run around with Zatanna and J'onn?

Yes it was shorter, but I've played shorter games that were more fun. The thing that makes these games awesome is the team-up aspect. If JLH had been four players... man... that would have been awesome. They likely would have had to pull the camera outsome because the Justice LEague is just plain more going on that some X-MEn, but if they had done that, this game could have owned.

Oh well. Not enough time. Not enough money. Too much liscencing, not enough game design.

I have played either, so I'll have to base my opinion on the XML games, and the past Snowblind games(like BG: Dark Alliance and CoN: Realms of Everquest). I'd have to put them neck and neck, but from everyhing I've heard, MUA is the better game. I do know they had too many characters. If you're gonna have that many, you need variety, so only two characters of the same type. Like if you had Cyclops(a must for an X-man game), you could have only one more long-range character, like Havok, or Sunfire. If you had Colossus, then you would have to pick between Warpath and Rogue, or some other tank. If you have Wolverine, then have Beast, Sabretooth or X23(hell, the last two could even be skins). Balanced characters are not so distinct, so you could have Gambit, Psylocke, Iceman, and Cannonball in the same game. Some are pretty much their own type, like Nightcrawler, Polaris/Magneto as a skin, Emma Frost(with the secondary mutation), Quicksilver, Storm, and the Scarlet Witch. With telepaths, Phoenix is an obvious must, and you could add Cable. But with three of the same, you start to notice how there are five characters, multiplied with slightly different powers and skins. Like having Colossus, The Thing, Power Man, Thor, and the Hulk in the same game. I probably missed a tank though. Thor is a little iffy cuz of his hammer and lightning powers, so he's ok. Thing and the Hulk are super popular, so they can stay, but Colossus(even though he's my fav mutant) and Power Man just aren't popular enough, and aren't different eough as well.

MUA is 10 times better IMO.

Just plain more fun and entertaining and AWESOME! In every aspect! IMO

I disagree, Luke Cage has a background in street fighting so he should of been given some street fighting moves.

And Thing used to be a wrestler he could of been given a few wrestling moves.

i think out of any super hero dungeon crawler xml2 was the best. i mean they gave you alout of characters and than anyone with similarites had alout of differences. like deadpool and nightcrawler. or juggeernaut and colosus

Dude, they're still tanks, its just there animations that would be different.

true. i mean all the games like that have like 4 tanks just different game play

I own MUA and played justice league heroes. From what I understood JLH was way shorter and it also didn't have as many popular characters! MUA def was fun!

That's what I was saying earlier. Don't have more than two or three of a specific type of character, to keep it varied.

I bought JLH just after it came out, and didn't like it. It took me a while to get used to the leveling system, I couldn't choose which character to play as, and the enemies spam attacks at you worse than any non-FPS I've ever played. I stopped playing during the GL/Flash episode.

A few days ago, I gave the game another go, carefully looked over the leveling stats, used a cheat code or two, and ended up enjoying it almost as much as MUA.

One thing that really stuck out about JLH was the huge difference in strength between characters. With MUA, you can have Thor and Invisible Woman doing melee attacks at practically the same level. In MUA, there's a clear difference between Superman and Batman's strength. Batman would have to combo an enemy that Superman need only punch once or twice. This was fun, except it made me never want to play as non-strength characters (which is why I used in unlimited energy code).

The inability to change characters 90% of the time got on my nerves. I spent all that money unlocking characters, and I never got around to playing as half of them. By the by, does anyone know if Kyle and Hal have different attacks than John's?

well if jlh let you pick your characters at the begining and have places where you could change character like in mua i would have liked it better. and i think it would be better if they just gave you 2 characters that were suggested for the level but you could use someones else if you wanted to
