Joker actor poll

Now i know given that nolan has said that he's not goign to bring the joker back in the last film...BUT.....buuuuuut i would like to start a petition or poll on to if there is goign to be anyone to make a batman ovie with the joker in it i would first like to say and put out there Daniel Day Lewis to play the role now i now what your htinking no way thats crazy he could never do it buuuuuut i remember way before when Heath was named to play him alot of people and i mean alot of people didnt like the idea but if you go to those ppl who said that they would say they were wrong about it.

but lets not be so quick to judge and rule out the thought of a new batman movie and a possible joker actor i say who would you all nominate to play the clown prince like i said i put up daniel day lewis up for the role

It's meant to be sarcastic. Though really, it's only common sense that a new, fresh interpretation of a certain character is going to be getting more attention and praise than an interpretation people have seen and become used to for twenty years. But I guess some people just enjoy being bitter over enthusiasm for new interpretations.

i only see a slight look alike feature and thats in the eyes apart from that there is nothing there is one pic however that he looks a bit more like heath ledger but heath ledger in 2000, even if they looked alike levitt doesnt have the acting abilities to step up to something as complex and demanding as the joker. even though i have faith in him as cobra commander i think he isnt good enough for the joker

I was flamed when I sugested this back in April, now half the board seems to have wisened up. I am glad.

I would have never thought of the resemblance if I hadn't read this thread.... Wow, they look strikingly similar, Joseph just looks a bit smaller and thinner. I haven't seen too much with him, however, and certainly nothing that would showcase a great acting talent, but I will look into him before I could vote him as a replacement (if a replacement should happen). He definitely looks like him though, I'd like to see him in TDK Joker costume just for the hell of it.

i own them both on dvd and he still doesnt convince me he could be a good joker people are whining about him being cobra commander imagine what the reaction would be if he was the joker. they need someone else

edit; and there is only a little resemblance there body structure is different heath is bigger where he is smaller and thinner with his head and face and there noses are northing alike or there cheek bone structures

i meant the lockout and brick. i just woke up, give me a break. yes i have watched them i work in a video shop so i see alot of movies daily and see alot of better actors than levitt who could take on the joker role

I agree. That's actually probably my biggest concern. The voice Ledger created was brilliant, and utterly unique. Anybody can imitate body languange, but changing your voice to the extent that Ledger did, it seems almost impossible.

DDL could be good, but he'd never do it. First because it is a comic book movie, but now out of respect for Ledger. I don't think we need to see Joker again in a Nolan movie other than a cheating cameo scene if any.
