and when I heard that It hit me as who could be great for the joker because I really couldn't think of anyone who could play him well

and hey I think Health Ledger Is a great Actor and will do Great as the Joker but I'd Rather Have Sean Penn

Well, as for TDK I'm alkl for Ledger but I think Willem Dafoe could have been the perfect Joker. Too bad Raimi wasted him in Spiderman.

I was taken by suprise with the Heath Ledger casting choice, and at first didn't really know what to think ... but I've slowly been coming around to it. Originally I wanted Adrian Brody, but with the interviews with Ledger and Nolan, where he said Ledger REALLY wanted this part ... and even had down the exact vision of how he wanted to play him, that's when I was convinced.
