Does anyone know what the red symbol signifies in this Joker card?

I want to get a tattoo of this image but i am not sure if I should leave the red symbol in, just in case it has a meaning to it that I am unaware of.

That card is from the last viral, each city had a different stamp. Chicago had a "J" stamp, not sure where that one is from.

So no don't have that in the tat.

Those are too small, to get better prints they need to be atleast twice as big.
Is there anyway to get the originals?

Well I'm in love with this image and have always wanted something to represent the Joker as a tattoo....And I think i've found it in this image.....
I'm thinking of getting it on my left shoulder blade.

Some of the images used on the cards existed before and have been modified slightly for the film (like the laughing jester used on a CD cover). Similarly the card off the original teaser (the jester playing with his tail) i've seen used in a documentary as a stock image for the devil. Anyone know where it originates from or who made it?
