I don't want the Joker's origin to be tied to Batman and would rather his origin not be explained at all. A lack of an origin adds to his creepiness and make him more mysterious. Even though the Killing Joke gives a flashback of his origins, it is told from his point of view and Joker admits that it may not be correct because he various recollections of his life before Joker.
The Killing Joke,An excellent way to do the Joker,I hope they use the Book as a guide:up:

Don't u think?

Yeah, he could be. I don't think you could go wrong with him as the Joker. I envision the Joker portrayed close to the way he is in TAS except maybe a little more ruthless, a little less flamboyent. Could Hugo pull this off? Can any of the people mentioned pull this off? I would rather has an actor who acts like Joker than one that only looks like the Joker. Getting both would be priceless.

I think he will just be Mr. Smith dressed up like The Joker...:p

seriously; there are better casting choiches. I say Lachey Hulme or Crispin Glover.

and make him look like Bolland's Joker, mixed with the BTAS joker. That would be perfect.

I don't have any special preference to Hugo Weaving but he would not be Smith as the Joker unless the character was written that way. Make no mistake, Weaving is a good actor who would be a good Joker.

With that said, I want a GREAT Joker. One that give my nightmares!

I watched The Rundown and Blackhawk Down this week and noticed the same actor in each- Ewan Bremner. In both those flicks he looks like a young Bruce Spence. So maybe he could play the Clown Prince?

Sorry Im not sure how to host pictures. But i'd sure like to see some Joker Manips of Bremner. The few photos from IMDB suk and are outdated.

Can't see him as the Joker sorry. My number one choice right now is Lachy Hulme.

You and me both dude. But this isn't the right thread for that, this is the Joker thread you might wanna post this in the "Sequel Villains" thread. There you'll see that I posted my support for Clayface too. ;)

Wouldn't count on seeing Clayface any time soon. Joker will most likely be the head villain in the sequel. Also I think Nolan wants to keep the villians as human-like as possible and there are a lot ahead in line in front of Clayface.

Hey, heres an idea.
How about we merge the playful version of joker with the dark version. Maybe, just maybe, we can have a character that scares the hell out of you yet still makes you laugh.

Joker is a crazy, a psychopath in the likes of John Doe (Se7en) and Hannibal Lecter, and should be seen as that (the majority of Batman´s villains are like that).
No camp......no laughing gas.
Makes him a killer that cuts smiles in his victim´s faces, leaving them terrible disfigurated.
The Joker should not be a kind of "clown" that gets the audience laughing, but rather, everytime the Joker laughs, the audience gets a shiver down their spine.

The hair color of that ^Joker is pretty good, not too Green and a little bit black too, looks good
The sideburns suck though...

For the love of god
Listen to me people
Jay Leno = NO JOKER!

I mean no big honking chin on the guy just a creepy skinny guy, green hair dark red lips, nasty crooked teeth, and dark rims around his eyes.

THink about it? Was he not in discussions with Nolan in the early days to play Crane? Id prefer him over anyone. He's got the look and everything!

(p.s I know this should be in the sequals forum but there's noone over there so gimme a break)
