Exactly. I bet he could apply all that built up psychotic frustration hes been holding in all these years and "turn into" the joker. He IS the Joker.
So they shouldnt have hired Christian Bale as Batman, but they should have hired some kid who saw his parents murdered in front of him and is aired to a billion dollar company. Because only he would know how to be Batman  Same could be said about Cillian Murphy, Replace Cillian with a real Psychiatrist who likes to experiments he's drugs on his patients. Right, that makes sense. What made Bale, and Murphy great is because they can "ACT" the part, and not because something happen to them similar to the there characters played. Again number 1 thing before you find an actor to play the joker, is to have great actor who not only is perfect for the role but wont be intimidated by Jack Nicolson's performace of the joker, who alot of people think he's perfect as it is. Screen Presence, Sean Pean, Vincent Cassel, Jude Law, johhny Depp, and Tim Roth all have it except Crispin Glover. Again I dont understand the logic of giving an actor who has yet to proven himself the job of playing the greatest villian of all time!!!???

I actually thought Cillian Murphy sucked in the movie.

His whole "The Baaaat-Maaaaaan" delivery was rather corny and his Jonathon Crane really did not seem much like the comic character, in my opinion.

HELL NO CRISPIN GLOVER FOR JOKER!

HES A HORRIBLE ACTOR! NOWHERE NEAR PLAYING THE MOST INFAMOUS VILLAIN EVER!!

Dude, we dont want a big name actor. When people go see the sequel expecting to see "The Joker", they dont wanna see Johnny Depp or Jude Law. They're gonna see Edward Scissorhands or Alfie fighting Batman. Same thing with Sean Penn...they're gonna see Spicolli fighting Batman. Crispin Glover is naturally THE JOKER...Was Chris Bale intimidated by Michael Keaton's performance? NO. With Crispin Glover, I dont think we'll be seeing a Joker that we've seen before...we're gonna see something different.

Jack Nicolson was a huge star and everyone knew he was perfect. First Jude Law is not as big of a star people make him sound to be. He's not at the level of Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, etc...... Jude Law has always been an actor first, star second. Im not saying we need a big or an unknown actor but we need the Right actor and Crispin Glover is not it. And Micheal Keaton performance isnt as perfect as people make him sound to be. altough he did a good job. If you look at the previous actors that played the Main vilians in comic book movies, they are all proven actors. William Dufoe, Liam Neeson, Jack Nicolson, Ian McKellen, Gene Hackmen, etc....... Are All Proven Actors. I Think Jude Law has the advantage of all the actors mentioned so far. Why you say??? First Nolan has been known for casting English Actors. Or more Importantly English calibar Actors I.E. Liam Neeson, and Michael Caine. Jude Law is an oscar calibar actor. Again he is not an Household Name here in the states as everyone make him sound to be  And how is that a bad thing??? Its not like were casting Superman, then that would be another story. In Conclusion, Jude Law has good height and size to play the Joker. He wil make an original Performance and not just some knock off that Jack Nicolson did. And Him being a so called ladies man, I think we actually help him in getting role, But using it for evil. I.E Harley Quinn. Charasmatic, thats something Crispin Glover will never have. :)

You do realize that Jude Law said he'd never do superhero films, right?

Speaking of Superman, has anyone seen "A Time To Kill" starring Kevin Spacey, Mathew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock and Samuel Jackson?

Well, rent it. Kevin Spacey - the new Lex - has a guy on his legal team who is a SPITTING IMAGE of Superman/Clark Kent. Wears a suit and glasses, this dude IS Clark Kent. Also the Judge in the movie calls Sandra Bullock Lois Lane in one scene.

It was pretty funny.

Shame that they cast Routh, but what do you expect from Singer.

Neeson is not remotely English bud. :o

jude law and paul bettany have the best shots of being cast as jokers if nolan considers either of them by default of them being known in the UK.

no, but he was born under the union jack.
My statement still stands. :p

And yes, Paul Bettany would have a good shot at it, he's also a terrific choice.

Then Why the hell did he do Road To Perdition which is based on a Graphic Novel. Why the hell did he even try out for Superman went Ratner was supposedly directing a Superman Movie. There was even rumours that Jude Law was considered to play General Zod in Superman Returns. And lets not forget that Jude Law is now in contention to Play the Watchmen. Right he will never do a superhero film

Ok if he wasnt into Superhero Movies, why the hell did he try out for Superman??? And the only reason he didnt do it was because he didnt want to get typecast and he wanted script control because JJ Abrams script sucked at the time. Not because he doenst like superhero movies
