Not only is Willem as hot as hell and incredibly talented, he really does look like the Joker.

And I DO realise he was the Green Goblin in the Spiderman movies, but as much as I love SM movies, those are more typical action movie, whereas Batman (the new one and the sequel) are more crime-oriented and not as colourful. I think he could do the part, because Willem is great at changing from character to character.

Also, he'd bring sexuality and slyness to the part. Not like THAT, I WISH, but you know. He'd make the character sexy. I picture the Joker as Willem's character in Boondock Saints.

Well you folks wanted Dafoe as Joker

The Deadeye Aims to please

BANG!!!!

joker has to be about 30
dafoe is 50 that is to ald
my opinion

i love what uve started on defoe his eyes need to be deep green his lips red as hell but kind of scarred his face insnt gonna be smoothy pearly white u know..theres gonna be deformities burns ect..and one of the best ways to seperate this joker from green goblin are slightly bigger and more solid teeth prosthetics and his hair combed back with more of a curl to it..and a gangster style to him like i said bruce wayne style suits (ie begins) yet black with purple pinstripes, or even purple with black AND HE MUST HAVE THE SHOES

i wanna see manipulations by the following

Better Defoe
-Daniel Day Lewis
-Guy Pearce (i know what your thinking mr. face but here me out)
-and Alan Cumming

No, even if from an artistic standpoint they are different (how much so as maniacal laughing arch-nemises is debatable) the media would say Batman just took Green Goblin and put him in make-up for Batman 2.

I say go with Johnny Depp. Jude Law would be okay too, but I just don't think he'd be great, Depp would, Hammil would be no one wants "Luke Skywalker as Joker" sadly enough.

Glover is a terrible choice and his name should be scrapped from the choices. Brody is okay, but Depp and Law would be much better.

i originally thgt of daniel day lewis.. he looks perfect, remember bill the butcher

What do you guys think of Kevin Bacon? He's a choice that nobody has really thought of. And while he probably isn't my top choice, I think he might just be able to pull it off.

http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0327056/Ss/0327056/C28-14A.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Bacon, Kevin

He's a great actor, highly underrated, and has played some very memorable villains and psychos in the past. He is quite a big name, but more of a character actor than a superstar, meaning he wouldn't overshadow Bale. Plus, I think he has the right look for the part. Tall and lanky. With some prosthetics, he'd look perfect.

However, there are a few problems. His most successful movies have tended to be smaller movies rather than blockbusters, and while he has a distinctive voice, it may not be the kind of voice that fits The Joker. Similarly, The Joker has a twisted sense of sophistication around him, which may not fit with Kevin Bacon's acting style.

Nevertheless, he could still be a strong choice. That pic above is quite good, but I couldn't post it here. Here's some other pics:

I always thought that Denis Leary would be good (even if he's a little too old)

He did play "Evil" very well in "Judgment Night"

Here's an off the wall casting idea for the Joker. Before I say who it is, I just want to go through a few things WB's wants for the sequel. Firstly, they want a big, huge Hollywood star to be Joker. Secondly, they want someone who can go toe to toe with Batman in a down and dirty brawl and finally, they want big spectacle in the sequel from the first frame (since BB needed an hour before the action really kicked in).

The person I am suggesting embodies the three aformentioned points. He's a huge star, he's built like a tank and can go mano a mano with Bale and he's no stranger to big time spectacle. The Joker should be : Brad Pitt.

Now before your collective geek jaws hit the floor, read on. Watch California and Twelve Monkeys again. Brad is a total loon in both films. He's deeply frightening and unhinged in both films. And he's not who people are expecting. This would be a bold move on WB's part. Pitt would play Joker, as a cold-blooded serial killer like Hannibal Lector. He would have a white zombie-like face (not made to look like makeup but more like a really bad skin condition, think Michael Jackson), midnight green hair (army green not lime green) and blood-red lips. The Joker in the sequel should not be crime boss Joker (like Nicholson was B89), he needs to be a serial killer or spree killer Joker whose kills escalate and become more elaborate and bigger in spectacle as the movie goes toward it's massive conclusion at a closed down carnivale, complete with abandoned carnies in hiding (think HBO's carnivale). He should taunt Batman with clues and test Batman's detective abilities and limit for compassion when it comes to capturing a mass murderer. This is the film I want to see. Joker can eventually become crime boss Joker in a future installment but for now make him a son of sam type killer who is completely paralysing Gotham city's inhabitants (everyone stays home afraid of the next vicious strike from Joker). Batman teams with Dent and trusty Gordon to track this crazy clown down. The Title : BATMAN STRIKES BACK

Brad Pitt should be Joker!

you have got to be kidding me. this is the stupidist idea i have heard on these forums. and trust me, stupid stuff happens. no. just no.

His voice isn't right for it, but he does have the cool insanity. Fight Club convinces me that he can easily play a psychopath.

$$$$$$

Other than that, it wouldn't be a bad choice. Unless Christian uses his seductive powers to steal Brad from Angelina. Because that offset drama would just distract from the movie . . . (breaks out into cold sweat).

The title of this thread ...IS THE BIGGEST JOKE OF THEM ALL!

If women didn't find Pitt attractive, he wouldn't have a career.

You must be kidding. Brad Pitt is a very diverse actor. Compare his roles in "Snatch", "Fight Club", "Meet Joe Black", and "Mr. & Mrs. Smith"; all completely different characters. His looks help him yes, but the man has talent as well.

He probably could pull off the part of the Joker, but there's many other actors I'd rather see in the role before Pitt.
