Terrible voice for it. Plus his type of acting is all wrong for the part and is too squirmy and subtle creepy...more Scarecrow or Riddler than Joker.

Here's the thing. Everytime someone says "crispin for joker" its usually very enthusiastic followed by "best joker ever" and similiar. Other casting suggestions pass off their ideas as casual occurances, without much thought or reason to why they are choosing one over Crispin. The truth is, if you like the Joker, you know Crispin Glover is the man for the job. If you want anyone else, you obviously dont know or care about Batman, The Joker, or any of this. End of story.

sorry...but i was too busy to watching drew barrymore and lucy liu to care for the thin man. his performance wasn't all that great...just a bunch of fighting and weird looks really....that's about it. i didn't even watch part 2.

Well sorry for having an opinion that differs from yours. Their is no TRUTH to saying that Crispin Glover is the right man for the job. That's PURELY your opinion....not a fact. I don't know where the hell you get off by telling people that if they don't like Crispin Glover they don't know anything about Batman, Joker, etc. I guess if Jim Lee or Frank Miller ended up not liking Crispin Glover then they wouldn't know or care about Batman either. Leave your fanatical thoughts in that mind of yours. There's already enough ignorance on the net.

if im not mistaken, Hamill's Joker has a high voice. that argument against "Willard" is absolutely insane. He's a good actor, he will be able to do a good voice.

my problem with crispin glover as the joker is that the creepy factor he exudes is a slimy, child molester creepy, not "joker" creepy. It's hard to explain, but to me the joker is a showman, he does horrible things in his "shows" but dammit he's entertaining. He's the greatest villain because he is so engaging, he's charismatic. He doesn't slink around in sewers, he comes out in the open and gets everyone's attention. There's nothing inconspicuous about him. In a world of blacks and greys, he wears a purple tuxedo! Like Gordon said in Begins, "he has a flair for the theatrical."
To me that just isn't crispin glover.

Also, to me the decision on who will play the Joker should not hinge on appearance alone. It should be who will be able to portray the Joker correctly, who can get inside his head and understand the character.

i think that joker should appear in the sequel, but i think his Origin should be recreated i never liked the idea that batman created him, anyway how could batman create him, he has only just heard about him in Batman Begins. Maybe joker could have been a magician, it would be a good reason for his obession with playing cards, and what makes him such a good villian, because he is so damn clever. I think joker should be turned insane by some tragic event, such as his wife being killed, just somethin that makes him loose it completely. perhaps he could have some from of skin desease which makes him so pale, and since he is insane he puts on lipstick and green hair..
