Mark Hammil. Ewan Mcgregor, and Jim Carrey are the only people I think can do it. Maybe tim roth too... I saw him in some independent movie with some hercules jewish guy and a bunch of nazis. they were entertainers and it was weird.

anyway, Jim carrey was born to play this role and I hope Nolan and wb don't bend over for fanboys just to please the basement dwelling lard butts like harry knowels and just bend over for me.:wolverine

Sean Penn would be excellent as Joker........you can't go wrong with that guy as the Clown Prince of Crime! :joker:
 
My opinion has started to change. I used to be all for Crispin Glover and tho i still think he would be a good choice....I don't think i would mind Jude Law or Tim Roth. Roth has the look down, I just don't know if he could act like the joker. Jude Law could act the part i think and I'm sure he could look like the joker if he wanted to. Casting an unknown is always an option and a good one at that. Never doubt Sean Penn. I hope you guys keep dissing him and then he get's the role and proves all of you wrong. Hey Geo is that Christopher Meloni in the picture above?
 
Roth can definitly act the part. He is an academy award nominee for his villianous role in Rob Roy, and has been ranked one of the best villains of all time. He also played a psychopathic, murderous ape in planet of the apes.

Roth can do the voice.
Roth has the look.
Roth is an Excellent actor.

TIM ROTH FOR THE JOKER!
 
Has anyone else thought of Matthew Modine for The Joker. I think he'd be friggen awesome in the role.

Crispin Glover will get the role. For those who think the voice is beyond his abilities, did you honestly think Luke Skywalker had the best Joker voice ever? Obviously not. Give the guy a chance, he is an actor after all.

And Bale is two inches shorter than what Batman should be, so that makes 6'3 THE height for the new movie Joker...:o

I'm sorry... but those actors ARE huge. The only ones that could be considered somewhat lesser knowns are Murphy (which is the ONLY one that got a major role), Hauer, Wilkinson and Roache.

IMO there are great actors and huge in that way.............But to the general public.............NO they are not. I remember telling my friends last year hey there making a new batman movie. and They Said "Who's plaing Batman?" I said "Christian Bale" And they said "WHO???". Really the only one that was Huge was really Morgan Freeman and Katie holmes believe it or not. I remember watching a movie in the cinema, and they showed the Batman Begins trailer. One of my friends said Hey Morgan Freeman in it, im deifntely watching it now. Even though Batman Begins did well in the box office, the general public still doenst know who Christian bale is. Its more like Hey there goes the guys that played Batman in Batman Begins, then it is hey there goes Christian Bale who played Batman In Batman begins.

Your friends are stupid then. Nobody I know doesn't know who is Michael Caine or Liam Neeson. In fact... I know quite a bunch of people to who the mere mention of these two names means automatically going to see the film.

Well your from Europe right, well Caine and Neeson are pretty popular over there. While Freeman and Holmes are pretty popular here in the states. :o
