hi everyone!

i've been reading this thread since it was only a few pages long, and now my account has finaly been activated! so i'm able to discuss the world's greatest villan (and indeed the clothes that he wears!) with such dedicated fans as yourselves.

you all have no idea how much your posts have helped me piece together my own joker ensamble, and i would like to take this oppertunity to thank and congratulate you on all of your hard work, hints and tips that have helped make me a better ... clown ... ? :D

so now the ass kissing is over with (ha) i'll try and post some of my own costume pics a bit later.

til then, and it has to be said, LET'S PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!!!

well, that's it for the moment. i know that some aspects of the clothes aren't SA, but i'm working on that. i have, however got a joker coat that i'll take a few shots of in a couple of days - i just need to do a few touch-ups.
still no shirt though...
i have got a blazer in almost exactly the same colour as Heath's, but the style and lining are too different. so i'm getting a new one within the month that i should hopefully be able to get re-lined in the coat lining.
and, lastly, the magnoliclothiers.com tie and gloves should be heading my way soon!
any questions welcomed, comments WANTED!!! hahaha, but seriously any comments would be greatly appreciated, good or bad.

speak soon!

One of the best out of the bag Joker costumes I came across was the Grand Heritage Joker Costume. Granted, it isn't dirt cheap, but it's a good deal for what you get. You even get a LINED screen accurate coat. Link below...

http://www.buycostumes.com/Batman-D...-Heritage-Collection/33019/ProductDetail.aspx

The pants look really good and if you read the reviews on the page, you'll even see some pictures of someone actually wearing that costume. I've ordered lots of things from buycostumes so I recommend them as well! Hope that helps you out some Jodo!

Aha! I bet it was the Grand Heritage costume pants, I wondered why me thinking "Rubies looked fine" sounded so wrong. LOL. :oldrazz:

For that price, I might as well buy the pants I had in mind though. :o Speaking of which, Joker1, I want in your pants. :hehe:

Wait....Oh yep...yep, I do. LOL.:oldrazz::cwink:

Man I want to upgrade my stuff now....Here I was saving for another project. :o

We went shopping at the weekend.

thanks for the comments Jodo! i thought i had some more pics of my pants... i'll try and post some as soon as i can.

they were a really good find, about £10 at Primark with the original colour being a really light grey. they dyed fantasticly with dylon intense purple washing machine dye (£5).

i have, however, had to make a few alterations: they are a slim-fit pair of pants, so there is little room for waist-hoistage with the braces. luckily, as part of the original design, there were these little strap thingees on the waistband that i cut off and then sewed back on to accommodate the braces.

i'm really annoyed though, as first time of wearing them, and they've started to come undone at the leg!:cmad: nothing that can't be prepared with a little patience.

slightly off-topic, was there a bank heist costume thread on here? if so, could someone point me in that direction? thanks!!!:woot:

So what'd ya buy Notsoserious? LOL.

Joker1, those pants are nice, but sorry to hear about your woes. The pants I've tried to dye just didn't come out quite propper (aside from the first ones, which I messed up another way, LOL.). I still look for white pin stripe pants, etc. to dye.

And there isn't a seperate bank heist thread, I've always posted mine in here. (You can see my last pics. a page back.)

ok. i must have got confused with therpf.com - i've been following thier threads as well. yeah, i saw your bank heist costume, and i must say that it's one of the best i've seen! i have pieced together my own bank heist stuff - i'll try and post pics soon - but i'm focusing on the "official" TDK joker costume as a sort of on-going project/hobby.

btw, your hair looks spot on for the bank heist costume, as in the film it was quite noticable that heat's wasn't green and ever so curly for the majority of the bank heist. seriously good work.

i should be putting up pictures of my coat tomorrow, can anyone tell me how to post images along with the text, without typing in urls? i'm still very new to this! thanks! :yay:

I'm over at the RPF too, LOL.

Thanks a ton on the comments, I actualy didn't have to do anything to my hair aside from wet it a little. As I've gotten older, my hair has gotten darker and more curly. :hehe:

As for the URLs, just right click your URL, copy it, then come here, and click the little box that has a mountain in it when your posting. It's the insert image box. When you click it, it will open a small box, you'll right click the text area, and paste the URL into it. Then you press ok. When you post your post (I said post twice, heh), if all went well, your image will show up. :hehe:

Clownprince, nice to see you dirty again! :oldrazz::cwink: You look excellent! :hehe:

thanks for the tip Jodo!

i've found a way of doing my hair to resemble Heath's in the film as closely as possible, as my natural hair is straight.

weathered my coat today, but the camera's on the brink so i'll hopefully have some photos from a party that i should be wearing it to on friday.

also, has anyone got a replica joker knife from roadsideimports.com? i've got a kit in the mail so that it's legit, but i don't know of anyone who owns one...if anyone does is it any good?

Aye, I wear my hair similar to the Joker evryday, so it doesn't take much to get it in proper shape, LOL.

Here's something new from me...

DSC823.jpg

Was taken in October last year, but just now managed to stumble on it while digging around Myspace. Funny how you find pictures of yourself in other people's photo albums when you least expect it. I just wished I asked for more copies of pictures that people took of me. There are some pretty awesome shots out there! I really wanted a copy of one with me holding a baby that was dressed as Batman! When his mom handed him to me and his dad snapped the picture the baby was looking over at me with a huge WTF look on his face! LOL

Your hair looks realy awsome for the Joker mate, but man you look like this kid I used to know! Your name isn't John is it? LOL. :oldrazz: :cwink:

Today I saw the "Joker dude" out at WM that I talk to sometimes, he used to have long hair and a beard, now he's clean cut and has short hair. I asked him what the frak was up with that, and he just shook his head and said "Tell me about it."

And ever sence this, I've been in a...Joker....y.....mood. So I'm thinking (yet again) of doing my make-up soon. Even if I don't have my new tie and shirt done, practice will do me some good. It's been along time sence I had a chance, so I might be rusty. lol. Might need some black eye make-up though.....I've got a new idea for application as well, so we might see how that'll work out. :hehe:

Keli as always you look awsome, but you'd never know that was even you!

Dreads, I look foreward to seeing more! Mabey some clearer pictures next time! :p ;)

EDIT -

And I hate to even mention this, but I just thought it was a cool idea. The Police uniform from the parade. I had this thought today, and I blew my own mind. LOL. I've got WAY to many things going on to seriously consider it, but if I ever get my wish, I want a manequin with the suit on it, and I want the other three costumes around it on "dept. store metal racks". I think that would look so awsome. LOL.

I already looked most of the stuff up, and excluding the two metal badges, the costume would be about $300. With the badges? Around $500. I'd also be impersonating an officer. LOL! And I'd want a M1 Garand too...and...and...and....

Thanks Jodo!!! Everyone always has a hard time believing that's me under all that face paint... even my own family couldn't seem to come to grips with the idea that I was under the purple coat when they first got to see me all decked out as Mr. J. Ah well... I look at it this way... if people can't tell who you really are under your face paint, then you've done your job well!!! Then again, when I'm not wearing any make-up, people swear that I'm moonlighting as Maggie Gyllenhall. LOL

We don't swear it, we know it. ;)

*dun dun dundadundaaaaa!*

Hi guys,

I've got some photo's from a costume party i went to in Leeds in the UK. My girlfriend who went as the Corpse Bride took the pics :yay: The initial party wasn't too good, but we went to town after to the Fab Cafe where things picked up!

By the way, does anyone know a good white makeup that doesn't crack and fall off after a long period of time? I kept having to patch up my face every so often.

Here are a few pics from when i got back, the camera doesn't make my hair appear as green as it was but never mind. I hope you like them:

Beautiful work on that... magnoli outfit?
Also... mehron clown white is your best friend.

I found that the best stuff for around the eyes was the cheapest black that you could find because it ran so nicely and that the white was best nice and expensive :-p

Also if you have any pictures of the back of your coat, held out, I'd appreciate it IMMENSELY.

chrisshaw, you look amazing! you really do look like the joker! man, i'm so jealous - i had a magnoli clothiers tie and a pair of thier custom gloves on order, but due to money problems i've had to cancell the order :csad:. i too live in the UK, and i don't know about you but i've found it ever so hard to find decent joker stuff: my coat had to be custom tailored (not as pricey as some, but still!), as did my waistcoat, i've had to do soo many alterations to trousers and chains and braces....AND STILL NO SHIRT!!!!

ahem, sorry about that.

seriously though, you look immense. fantastic job. :cwink:
