Didn't "read" through every post and page of this thread, but I did look at all the pics in the entire thread and I must say firstly, my GOD for Jokers hahahah. I haven't seen people jump on a costume/cosplay franchise since Naruto and Bleach. At least in the anime world. And now I'm going to throw my 2 cents in here cuz of all the posts not many female's doing the joker and so I'd like to take some time and show the joker costume I'M doing. I'll do my best to explain each piece of the costume and the materials I used to help you fellow Jokers.
Joker Vest and Coat:

This is ebay seller that I bought a custom made Joker vest and coat from matched specifically to my measurements. On the coat, its hard to tell but they DID get the uplifting flaps on the front of the jacket. Just hard to see.

Here's the vest. Despite the crazy pattern ideas of Joker's outfit, his coat and vest are rather easily designed. And since its easy to duplicate, I think they did a damn good job of duplicated Joker's vest and coat. I haven't received them in the mail yet, but from 4 years of cosplay, I usually have an eye of which ebay sellers to buy from when I can't make it myself. The colors are also nicely chosen and they even have the right colored lining.
Joker Tie:
http://www.zazzle.com/joker_tie-151736642003114176?gl=Dracomancer From what I saw throughout the thread of the Joker tie's on Zazzle, I came up with my own. I took a high resolution shot of Joker's tie from my silky wall scroll thingy and managed to put it together on Zazzle. Its a bit too jumbled together compared to his more "separated" pattern, but it'll do.
Joker Pants and Chain:

I'm actually not happy with these because my first attempt at trying to stripe them didn't turn out so well and that's for like 20% of the pants (notice the right side of the pants). When I finally found some acrylic fabric pens with a fine tip I was able to finish them nicely. The pants were hand dyed to a darker purple, by me, with a Dylon fabric dye specifically for rayon and or polyester fabrics. The white stripes were done using a "Painters" fabric acrylic paint pen.
Joker Socks:

It looks shabby because I had the flash on, trust me it doesn't look that bad. But I finished of the sides of the socks using fabric pens. I refuse to pay 65 bucks for a pair of joker socks on ebay when I can just do it myself. Also keeping in mind its not like you see his socks that often anyway.
Joker Hexagonal Shirt:
http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1674307/
Since there's no way in hell I'm paying bullcrap prices on ebay for the joker's hexagonal shirt, I found it a lot cheaper and EASIER (mainly since I can draw) to buy a light greyish blue shirt and a darker blue fabric pen and just draw on the patterns. It may "look" incomplete but with the vest covering it and the bottom of it tucked into the pants, without his jacket all you're really going to see is the arms, part of the neck, and part of the upper and under shoulder parts and that's about it. Took over 10 hours total to do this thing @_@
Joker Makeup:
http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1656550/
The makeup itself doesn't have to be a great quality because of the way he wears it in the movie, it looks worn and sweated out. It isn't put on nicely like most people do. His scars more often than not are done way too thick and or smeared out. Progress pics of Heath's scar pictures were posted earlier and as you could see from the picture his scars are as noticeable and big as many like to believe. I'll be using a product called Skin Tite for make his scars (not what I did in the pic at the time) and Thi-Vex that was recommended to thicken the Skin Tite solution. Once the stuff comes in the mail I'll give the makeup and scars a REAL try.
Joker Hair:
I can understand if people don't want to fiddle with a wig, but more often than not people have the hair either too short or too long. Wig came into and I'll be working on it tonight. Heath's joker hair is short and slightly curly and definitely weighed down by sweat and oil. And unlike some Joker posters, his entire head of hair isn't entirely green. Like his hair, its matted out and there, but at the same time not there. His hair is a brownish color with a bleach like type of green color. I'll post more pics when the costume becomes more complete.
Sorry if this was long and drawn out, but I figured it'd help give people ideas and this is my progress on the costume.
