Here's a group of photos of an extra who played one of the cops in the funeral parade scene. Hopefully these will help you out some!

i cannot even begin to tell you how helpful these two pics are to me. thank you so much, now i can draw an ACCURATE picture of honor guard joker's outfit.

...might wanna take those off now, freak...mods still say no no to bootleggyz. ;) dont wanna get banned.

Out of curiosity, has anyone seen this?
http://www.baronboutique.com/movie_replica.htm
Here's my dilemma; while the actual design looks like the most accurate I've seen anywhere, I'm shaky on the material. Is it really velvet? The real coat looks like wool in most of the Heath pictures I've seen. Obviously, price is a MAJOR factor in this, and I'm not sure whether or not I'd be willing to blow $329 on a coat that would otherwise look extremely tacky. Any thoughts?

^ iv come across that before, and to me it just looks far too shiny... other than that it looks great, but the shinyness would put me off buying it.

***DYING DILEMMA*** :(

Ok, so i did have some trousers before, but they'r kinda tight now (really need to start going to the gym lol), anyway, i'v just bought some grey trousers from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=150298687751&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=005

They'r 65% cotton and 35% poly, and apparently lighter than in the picture.

But as a question pointed to all the guys that have dyed their own stuff...
what kind of dye / colour do i need to make them purple?

I really have NO idea about any of this dying clothes stuff, and
I know the trousers were cheap, but i just really cant afford to get this wrong :(

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

that jacket looks horrible imo. not even remotely accurate fabric. joker was not a pimp.

yeah I'm really interested
in where you got the joker nurse outfit. Also if anyone knows where i can get the nurse belt

noxas... Seems we're both in the same boat regarding the dye dilhemma.
I in fact posted a similar, perhaps even more color specific question earlier a few pages back. I assume with all the excitement over people's impressive outfits, no one got around to responding so here's a REPOST:

*** CONT'D PANTS DYE DISCUSSION ***

OK ; so the pants being the last portion of my completed outfit, I've gone ahead and purchased:
http://www.bananarepublic.com/browse...earchCID=25789

now...I took into account to avoid more than 50 % synthetic (polyester or whatnot) by choosing a 75 % cotton / 25 % nylon pant. The pinstripes seem wide enough and the navy *SHOULD* be favorable to the goal of the blue'ish purple end-result.

I now need to buy the RIT-DYE (assuming this is what you guys recommend) - based on the BLUE+RED mix please clarify as to wether I need NAVY BLUE or ROYAL BLUE + WINE RED or SACRLET RED. http://www.ritdye.com/Powders.28.51.6.lasso Rit charts.

Appreciate the advise particularly from those that have had success with this. I am a bit concerned after reading GhostSoldier etc. 'ruining' several sets of pants.

peaceout

Save your money. The coat in the movie is obviously some sort of fine wool or wool blend; the point is that however battered it's become, it was once a fine hand-tailored custom garment. This looks like the sort of stuff Le Chateau (Canadian chain, kind of like Hot Topic only without all the range of product) had out around Interview with the Vampire, only in purple instead of black and red. So misleading of them to have an image from the movie's promotion materials to lure you in before seeing the actual pictures. Frankly the $60 Hot Topic denim one looks more accurate.

Though now apparently I'm not going out on Hallowe'en:csad: so can only dress up for work that day; I'm doing something the next day to mark the Day of the Dead. So I'm not quite sure what to do with the Hot Topic coat, though I am glad I didn't order the socks.

George Costanza would love that coat.

ok folks I'm thinkin about using skin-tite silicone (with thi-vex) for my scars... has anyone else used it? I've looked it up and it looks like a great product, but i'd like some actual endorsements from anyone who's actually used it. thanks for any comments/tips

Quick alternative to a nurse belt... just go to your local fabric store, get 2" wide white elastic in enough length to go around your waist, buy a belt buckle to attach the elastic to and you have yourself a nurse belt. Most of the places that carry the actual nurse belt are in the UK and they don't ship over seas. You could also check out local stores like wal-mart and target and see what they have in the womens section. Most of them carry elastic type belts.
