Joker Costume for Halloween

I've been hunting a MM Joker Goon figure for a while, well, I FINALY found one today, and then right after words, at another Wal-Mart, I found all 5 variants. So I grabbed the Bozo (Joker) clown mask variant. When I got to the checkout, I went to the one without anyone in line. I put my junk on the counter, the girl went through it real quick, she got to the Henchmen figure, went to throw it into the sack and then goes "Oh. Thats cool." I asked her if she liked Batman, and she says "Ya, but I LOOOOVE the Joker."

LOL. So naturaly, I got the photo of me in the suit out, and I don't think she realy beleived it was me, LOL. She went from real open about loving the Joker, then to real meek and quiet. It was crazy. lol.

lol naturally thats awesome lol and thanks for the band aid XD:ikyn

Those are the same ones I got for my Sweeney costume for next year. -chuckles-

Yeah, I've heard Wal-Mart thrown around a lot about nice gloves. And they're not too bad. Pretty comfortable. Then again, I've cut the fingers off...

You're referring to Sweeney Todd right?

That's what my wife and i had originally planned on doing this year... but we realized we had to do the joker costumes while there was still hype.

I went as Joker and my gf went as Sweeney. It was wierd coz... she was a man... and I was still attracted to her... hmmmm.
But I think the two characters go well together, theres a sense of tragedy in each of them. Not to mention their total lack of sanity. And their blood lust, as well as choice of weapon.

Wow, those are nice and neat. I've been toying with the idea of doing something similar, not for permanent scarring but just to add a personal sense of realism while in costume, just to add real blood to the makeup and feel the sting when you smile, to remind you who you are.
Maybe I take it too seriously.

How are they holding up? Healing well?
I'm curious about how you made them, and if the experiance was a pleasing one. Anyone giving you funny looks? :woot:

Yes to ST. xD I've been obsessed with the show long before the movie came out. But I never started the ST costume. Then I decided on the Joker and I got to SHH and I continued through with the Heath Joker. And bam. I got a Joker costume out of my boredom. Haha.

Wal-Mart is fun to run around in...

Got some new pics from Halloween (I know...more of em?) Let me know how I did on likeness guys!

Anyone else have trouble "getting out of character"? I still find myself unconsciously smacking & licking my lips at random times.

Since I'm working on a new character that's actually phasing out. Try it out. Haha I'm required to..darn acting classes.

YES! Absolutly....I find myself saying the scar stories, or at just random moments talking like him. Like when I go out, just anything may set it off. LOL. "Now-ah, there's a-black car."
"Well hellooo jay walker. Jay walking-with-ah, with Mr J."
:ikyn

Nice pics. Blight! :woot: I'm gonna hafe to put my make up and stuff on here soon. I want to do it again before Thanksgiving so I can show news pics. off to the family. :oldrazz:

yes!! New England journal of medicine is calling it "agent-o-chaos-itis". :woot:

and I've got it bad.

Every now and then I find myself walking like him... bit of a quick pace to the step and kinda hunched forward. Guess I just did it so much, it was a hard habit to break. Sometimes I even break out in 'the laugh' unexpectedly and not only scare the crap out of myself but everyone else around me, so yeah, there's still a bit of him left in me to create a little more chaos. :cwink:

I also realized that I talk with my hands more so now than I did before. Granted, I used to gesture alot when I talked to people anyways, but I've started to do it so much that my friends keep telling me to stop acting so fidgety!

Blight... not bad. The shirt and vest look good.

I would suggest less eye makeup.

And you should find some real gloves. Those "official" ones are pretty cheap and fit horribly. I got two pairs of gloves at the thrift stores, painted/dye'd them for less than half the cost of the halloween store version.

God, yes. I'll catch myself hunched over and walking with a somewhat hurried sway/limp. And what bothers me is when I start talking and i do his voice, and I'm not meaning to do his voice! It just.. slips out, ya know. *licks lips*
And I also find myself prone to unexpected, short bursts of laughter, which, after they finish, leave me asking "wtf" :)

I like to throw in random lines, just to awkward it up a bit.

Most people simply stare...some get it. ;)

I agree, I think you got the eyes too big. But your forehead wrinkles are good. Also, rather than doing the crease lines on your eyes and lips as you have, try and actually follow the real creases in your face. Squint, growl etc and it'll make it look way more natural.
Take a look at chrisshaw1988 for example (not meaning to slight anyone elses awesome makeup) but it looks so natural. Well as natural as clown makeup can look anyway.

So in brief, dont make the creases look deliberate, make them look like they've naturally formed over extended wearing of the makeup.

STOP THE PRESSES! STOP 'EM!!!!

New ref pics! Now...the one where he's upside down, throw it in paint, and rotate it.

My eyes went right to the chain. "Where are you going chain?"
Then, next to the coat. "How many panels do you have coat?"
Then, to his gloves. "How long are you gloves?"
THEN. To his friggen flower and mercury dime buttons. "What the frak do you think you doing on that suit, touring version buttons? Hu? Answer me!" :wow:

Wow. The new pics sorta blew my mind there for a second. :woot:

Those are really awesome pictures! I was just floored when I came across them yesterday.

As for the buttons, it was sweet to actually see them on the vest IN a production shot from the movie and not just on the touring costume. I even went back and watched the movie again this morning, and yes, sure enough they are there. However, it seems he only wore the vest with the flower and dime buttons after changing back into his 'normal' clothes after his crossdressing stint at the hospital, since I couldn't find the buttons on his vest in any part of the movie before then. I'd like to think that vest is one his saves for 'special' occasions when he wants to be taken more 'seriously'. :hehe:

Does anyone know if they're still selling the HT jackets? I can't find them at the online store.

wow. nice pics of Heath....really high resolution. thanks!!

Does anyone know if they're still selling the HT jackets? I can't find them at the online store.

HT put almost all of their Halloween stuff on clearance, so the chances of actually finding one in the store are next to nil. They sold out on the website, so you might have to resort to looking around eBay if you're really desperate for one.

Has any one got any decent scars (Or know where i could get some)that they would be interested in selling.
Looking for decent ones(not some of the mess's that habit ebay or some pics here :P )
and ones that arent a rip off like again on ebay (again) lolz
Im not up for paying like £79 and up for scars lolz

cheers : D

Thanks for the info, I was hoping that wasn't the case. It's not even for costume, I just wanted one to wear. Ah well, seeing as i'm 4'11" I doubt i'll find one ANYWHERE that will fit me now.

Best thing to do is make your own, that way, they will be made to YOUR liking, plus its not that expensive for the materials, you can either do standard slush latex type scars or you can do silicone type ones, either way just go pick up some Crayola Air Dry clay (5 bucks) then make your molds then paint layer after layer of latex over them then peel em off, just make sure and make the edges thin so it will blend well to your face. Again if you make your own it will be up to you not to make a "mess" ;) plus you can do trial and error approach.
