Joker GNB robbery mask (WIP)

not to bad he looks sick though lol i guess its because u really brought out the face structure like his cheek bones and forehead..but hell alot better then rubies lol

Mask looks amazing! Look forward to seeing the finished product! How much would something like this cost if you end up selling a few copies?

Woll the features be softened? For now it looks a little, I don't know, bony?

But it really looks fantastic.

its very close but it needs a lthin ayer of "flab" to be perfect.

how many to you plan on making?

Thanks for the kind words fellas.

As the title stated of the thread, it was a WIP, but I appreciate the kind critiques.
Things I changed before molding:
Softened the details alot, especially the sharp cheekbones, mainly them. To look more like the softness in the comparison shot DFA posted.
I widened the mouth as well.
The face will be fatter, when worn. Thats what the mask to me looked like before worn, according to the behind the scenes blank mask and zbrush designs I found in the backround of the making the masks featurette.

Should pictures up soon of the end results.
Thanks again!
Tyler

A nice fella on another website did this superb photoshop paint on my sculpt picture. I have been tinkering with the idea of doing a base for the mask as well to put it when I'm not robbin banks. The card wont be a cardboard card, but a raised relief sculpture embedded into the base. The raised relief card sculpture adds that much more Joker aesthetic to the mask as a display and doesnt distract from the piece the base is displaying.

I'll update this thread as progress is made in all areas.

Thanks
Tyler

If you sold them, though, they'd be wearable, right? And how much do you think you'd sell them for?

For sure wearable. Price will be determined on the first couple of castings I do. Somewhere around $225.

Depending on how the mask wears and the paintjob, that's a fairly decent price.

i could see me getting one of these once i get a little more money....great job

Hello Gang,
Here's a test paint in this small video. I had some resin problems with a few of the tests, but all is better now. I'll update this tomorrow with a full slew of high res pictures. Some of the things with the test paint has changed, but for the better.

(click for full video, about 20 seconds long if that)
Thanks
Tyler

wow really impressive it looks great..pretty spot on. you should try your take on his scars I have a feeling youd have a great set..

Here's a demo I whipped up to see what the paintjob would look like:

Masks are cast from urethane resin with some slight flex. Masks are cast thicker than the film masks, to last longer.

Elastic is embedded directly in the mask (shown in the prototype pictures), and there is also inner foam for comfort during wear.
I have a size 24" head and this fits me great. I've put up various angles and a video and will add more pictures and another video or two to this thread as well in a couple of days.

Thanks for looking!
Tyler
