With Clark meant to be on a rocky road in his mission as a hero this year according to the writers, do you think Jonathan should come back and set him straight. I mean he told him he was meant to be a symbol for hope, why not have him come back.

it would be great if they could get john S back in a dream/vision/etc.... type of role like he did a few times post death of the character. But its likely not going to happen. Since we know from various interviews he has done recently and in the past the producers(more so probably gough and millar then souders/peterson now) have no need for him.

Most likely not gonna happen. They've been trying to attract younger audiences by getting rid of all of the older characters like Martha and Lionel. I mean if they couldn't find a way to bring back Martha, it's most likely cuz they don't want to. Besides, I think they're trying to have Clark complete the rest of his journey towards becoming Superman on his own without help from anyone else.

well we do have emil now for adult in the show lol.

I wouldn't mind it if we never saw Jonathan again.

I really didn't like the character much, the way that JS portrayed him. Too self-righteous, kinda like JS.

The man seems like a jerk, but how would Jonathan come back? The man is dead.

That was already done in Void. There isn't much of a reason to have Jonathan back in a dream sequence. Clark is interacting with his real father now more than ever, and he'll soon meet him face to face.

as a dream/vision would be the easiest.

I wouldn't ever need to see him again. I don't like that idea.

They'd better spend the money on someone else like Brian Austin Green, a genre actor who can act.

I loved BAG. He's awesome.

well yea it would be nice if john did make another appearance before the show ended, but its likely not going to happen besides the character getting a mention here and there like what clark said in savior and all that.

He said he wanted to come back for the finale in a recent interview

well i would love if they did have him in some form for at least the last episode same goes for martha and to a lesser degree pete/lana(though i can live without seeing her character in person again).

jonathan coming back is unnecessary. if they wanted some parental figure to return, then they should bring back the living one: Martha! Clark is already on his heroic path. I don't think he needs yet another dead or living person to tell him what to do.

well hopefully martha will return for an episode or to before the show ends.

thats a thing I don't get in Metallo Lois said that Martha had told her that he was visiting cousins, so she must be in on the fact that Clark's given up on Clark Kent persona, my question is why she didn't return to find Clark and talk him around?

I'd rather have Martha back for an epi. 1)makes more sense 2)she always got the back seat compared to Jonathon in Clark's patronage. To bring Clark back into the 'human' realm, it should be Martha that gets to him.

infact, it makes more sense for it to be martha, as we approach the end of this season, and the world falls closer and closer towards doom, as a senator, and mother, she could appeal to Clark's goodness etc.

Martha might have thought it was what he was supposed to do, and she still had contact him so she wasnt as upset i guess

Do you have something personal against JS?

He played Jonathan well, having a son like Clark requires a lot of character, care.... not an easy task.

Like others have said, he could appear in a dream or flashback. But the one that must return is Martha, going back to the farm and be there for Clark to line up with the mythos (series finale).

yea and they could always say her time as senator ran up/she stepped down or something.

I'd like to see Pete return again but not be a D**k and just be there to visit and in the episode, and I'd also love for Clark to be on the phone with Lana in an episode telling him she made a save but somehow lost her powers for good, then Lois would walk in an ask who that was an Clark would say Lana and Lois would make some whippy remark that he still loves her an Clark would admit finally to getting over her.
