Quantumania Jonathan Majors cast as KANG

It would be cool if we see some Gugu return as Ravonna Renslayer. It would be cool to see the Baltag coup play out in a flashback sequence.

Kang looks awesome. Really menacing

Not necessarily, no. Cause he was still convicted criminally. I am sure it helps him possibly for future work, but for coming back as Kang? Unlikely
I guess it's kinda clickbait, then. What a shame. Variety is supposed to be one of the reliable sources.

It's entertainment news, so Variety is reporting on it. It just doesn't mean it's going to amount to much. Again, it's not like he was cleared of a conviction. This was a civil case that was dropped.

Yeah. This was only reported in the manner it was to try and help his career. Which should be dead, but hey, look who our president is.

Obviously he's not back as Kang, but I'd still find it funny if he somehow returned with a one-sentence explanation of him being gone, then back again.

The problem I'm seeing across social media though is that a lot of people are taking this as he's innocent and his ex ruined his life

Because normal people dont understand the legal system. They probably saw the headline and didn't read beyond that. But that's a fault of stupid people not reading. Not him being exonerated legally. Again, civil and criminal law are 2 different things

Social media hates women? No way.
A lot of the comments are coming from women, too.

Definitely that, but I also feel like Variety is aware of this and knew that their headline was going to be misinterpreted exactly in this way.

...and it's people on social media being stupid, men and women included. In this case. It doesn't make sense to me to say social media hates women if women are also siding with Majors.
Yes, men, women, and enby folk are a part of social media. And yes, social media hates women.

If you are having an issue with the concept of internalized misogyny, may I recommend the documentary, Mean Girls.

In between typing my response to you and posting it, my wife walked into the bedroom and I just explained to her everything in a nutshell just now with this news about Jonathan Majors.

So okay, I get it. You're right, social media hates women. And we can take it up one notch and say even society hates women.

Mean Girls starting Lindsay Lohan is a great film. Unless you're semi-joking when you said this, I'm not aware that there is a documentary out there with the same name.
