Jonny Quest | Warner Bros.

While it's likely that Jonny and Haji will be played by unknowns, I do wonder what kind of age they'll be as I think both are meant to be 11 so I think they'll go for kids around that age range, perhaps 12-13 at a push.

I'm not too surprised it's inspired by Raiders as both Jonny Quest and Indiana Jones were both influenced by radio serials of the 30s and 40s.

I don’t know if Jonny will necessarily be an unknown.

I would bet dollars to donuts that at least ask if Jacob Tremblay would be interested.

Don’t know about Chris McKay as director for this. The Tomorrow War was so bland, and this needs the opposite of that. Somebody call Brad Bird!

I know he is still fairly youthful but Jacob Tremblay is probably too old for the role of Jonny. I think if they wanted someone who's fairly well known as a child actor, maybe Iain Armitage who is currently playing Sheldon in Young Sheldon?

I don’t think Tremblay currently is too old, but given that we can probably assume this is at least a year away from rolling film, he soon will be.

I would def hope for young unknowns as Johnny and Haji. And for them to be genuine "kids" and not tween actors on the verge of deciding on either college or going full on into acting. If Race's daughter is a character ditto for her rather than say casting a current Zendaya type or some such. They are supposed to be around 11-12 in the original show and that's kinda where I think they need to start. (Might want to hold of on Jessie come to think of it now. Keep her for a sequel when Johnny and Haji's characters are older so that some young romance aspect can be injected where it's now age appropriate with the young characters now into their teens.)

As for the Doc and Race?

Hmm...

For the Doc let's go with a range from purely comedic to inbetween comedy and drama to a much more square jawed serious take, cuz this is something that could go a lot of ways.

As for Race? Same deal. Will this be earnst or tongue in cheek? I don't know, even with the director hinting at a Raider vibe. So... Let's put some choices that are also across a spectrum.

Get Mark Ruffalo, Michael Fassbender or Ewan McGregor for Dr. Benton Quest.

Get The Rock (I can't believe I actually suggested him) or Liev Schreiber as Race Bannon. Just for the love of God, don't cast Batista. Wouldn't be opposed to John Cena either.

Jacob Tremblay is a good idea for Jonny.

I really hope this movie mixes some ideas from "Real Adventures" because they had some interesting villains. I would love to see a live action version of Jeremiah Surd, Ezekiel Rage and even Questworld.

I assume you've seen this one before? This is the clearest one on YT I know of but the start is at the 30 second mark.

Yes, I do recall this video! Haven't seen it in ages lol.

Man back in the day, Cartoon Network/Boomerang had the best commercials, bumpers, music videos all of that. I still love that Toonami, "Space is the Place" promo. But I digress.
