I disagree with everyone and I mean everyone here I do not want this series to be part of the Marvel movie Universe I want Marvel to invent a new universe for TV series

And I want this for many reasons, but one of them I want the real Nick Fury

And when I say real Nick Fury I do not mean only him being white There are two thing Nick Fury need so I can accept him as the real Nick Fury

1- Leadership of the "Howling Commandos" at World War II

2- Haveing the Infinity Formula in his blood

Without these two thing I do not care if his white or black or Asian he is not Nick Fury

How are those two things so absolutely vital to the character, besides "it was that way in the comic book damn it", that you can't accept any version that doesn't have these two things?

"Uh, Kiefer, we're trying to appeal to kids as well as adults, so we're keeping that kind of stuff out of the show."

"What show?" :cmad:

You're forgetting the part where he tackles a Christmas tree. :o

I'm sorry that i did not explain the importance of this two thing

1- him being Part of the World War II generation is an important part of Nick Fury character of his Personality

2- and about Infinity Formula him live along this time watching different generations go and different generations comes governments come and go different wars come and go allies become the enemy and the enemy becomes an ally is what makes Nick Fury the Nick Fury

Well I still don't see a probably if we get the ocassionally hero like punisher, moonknight, etc.... maybe they can be going affter someone who shield is going after. And they cross paths. Learn to worrk with each other and bam simple easy way to do crossover heroes.

Then as for powered agents I would prrobably leave only like one or two ie danvers/brand if they show up. So we can keep budget down for overall per episode stuff and fx work go for sfx scenes and any powerred wepons/baddies we get.

As for characters I definately hope they go with mockingbird, carol danvers(in time develop her powered identity), clay quatermain, jimmy woo, sitwall. So we keep the main cast at 5 to 6 members. Another way to save on budget with smallerr cast. Then the ocasional audio/physical/computer appearances of furry/hill when ever jackson/smulders schedules are free.

Then I definately hope maybe they do some pre avengers setting episodes to maybe have gregg clark appear as coulson again. And could be like how danvers, clay/mockingbird/etc... character became shield agents type of story.

As for bad guys we definately should do stuff like resurange of hydra in modern day, attacks from aim(counting on what they arre doing in im3), and also other key shield villain organizations/people. Not to keen on shield specific baddies. So if any one knows some good ones would like to hear who they are.

I find it a real shame that Dum Dum can't be part of this, because they decided to put him in the past in CA: TFA. Neil McDonagh would've been a great lead for this show as the senior SHIELD agent whom some might find a bit eccentric (he still wears a bowler) and rather old school. Before Maria Hill, the person I most associated with SHIELD other than Fury was Dugan.

Who owns Viper? Can she be used in this?

I also hope that Madame Masque could show up eventually, if she doesn't in an IM sequel.

Well if they do a past episode with coulson pre his death. Who's to say they can't do a episode set in the 40s/50s and maybe see more on how mcu shield formed and started up.

That would be cool. Maybe take some inspiration from Hickman's SHIELD comics and eventually show how SHIELD has existed in some incarnation throughout history.

God I hope not. I really don't like that retcon.

It's funny, I didn't even know Hickman wrote any SHIELD comics 'til today when I stumbled across Vol. 1 and downloaded it on a whim wondering if the show might take a cue from it, and now I see it's being discussed here. Interesting to see such divided opinions. I'm intrigued.

Yeah, definitely not a fan of DaVinci/Illuminati SHIELD. I'll pass.

Well I don't think we need to do da vicci/ullimitti stuff from that book series. But at least dive more on how shield started up in late 40s-present day. First be nice to see coulson again and clark has stated recently he is still working for marvel. So I fully expect a pre avengers/past setting episode to happen some point. And come on doing a shield show definately makes sense to state/show how in the mcu shield started up and all that. We only gotten little blurbs through captain america/im 2 so it a logical thing for them to do.

I may be wrong, but, if I recall correctly, it is one of those situations where Marvel Studio and the licensing studio (in this case, Fox) have rights to different iterations of the same character. Marvel has Madame Hydra, while Fox has Viper.

Would any one want spider-woman to be in the show. I do believe marrvel has rights to the character. And she has been assoicated with shield in past right?

As for viper I believe marvel has rights to most takes of the character, ie the one assoicated with hydra and what not. Where fox has one of the other takes of viper. Or it might not be thee viper just character loosely assoicated with character.

How on earth did they get into that situation, and why would Fox have Viper anyway? She's not a mutant, and although she's associated with Silver Samurai, she's also associated with Hydra, SHIELD and Spider-Woman. I read somewhere that she was meant to be in The Wolverine but don't know if this is true.

I love to see Spider-Woman, but if she's in it, she HAS to be in the sexy skin-tight red and yellow outfit. I don't want something watered down. It has to show off her curves and her boobs completely. Spider-Woman's early stories are a bit like Angel to be honest - same setting in LA, same kinds of supernatural villains - she was even called the Dark Angel of the Night. Whedon could easily have written a great Spider-Woman series (or movie). She's just like the types of characters he likes.

But we needs teh bewbs!!!!! :o

Yeah, I'm afraid I have to second that

This show is going to be awesome and I can't wait for it. There are literally hundreds of different ideas and things they can get in to. Gonna be so dope

Well with how costumes been for mcu films if we got heroes on tv show I think they would do them to justice.

As for viper I really don't know deal there. But like I said there has been a couple people in comicss who gone by viper name. So I don't know what type of deal fox and marvel has against viper. Could be like the whole skrulls thing. Where fox has the rights to the green skin/shapshifting ones, and marvel has the rights to ultimate universe/chitaru take.

The main reason movie and TV show costumes aren't exactly like comic costumes is because if they were that form fitting, they'd be the kind of clothes that only exist for the purpose of being sexual. And look stupid.

Heck, I actually really hate that costumes are that form fitting in the comics, it tends to look really stupid to me.

Hill's costume in the movie was perfect. It was tight and showed off her curves, but it still looked practical and respectable. Plus, it was actually a jumpsuit with SHIELD branding, so she was one up on Fury and Coulson, too.

all she really need is to have an outfit fitting like black widow/maria hill. In yellow/red and some sort of mask probably in line of how captain america's avengers costume was and there you go.

ummm that isnt going to happen this is set within the marvel cinematic universe. If fury who more then likely will happen here and there(plus any computer/audio bits) it will be samual l jackson.
