That's very nice.
I think we'll reallyreally find out how Kevin feels about Joss in a year or two.
When the first Batgirl trailer appears, if Kevin doesn't drop a MCU trailer in the day or two after, then we'll know for real that it's all good.
Joss Whedon called Feige about Batgirl.
Whedon spent years at Marvel not just as the writer and director of the two Avengers movies but also as a consultant, giving input on other projects. And thus when it was revealed he was taking on Batgirl for DC, fans were shocked at the news. It turns out Feige had known about it for a while. And was cool about it.
"He called. A couple months ago, which he didn't have to do and was super cool of him and super nice of him," Feige said. "And we couldn't be more supportive. We want to see a Joss Whedon Batgirl film be awesome."

So, Warner Bros. have been talking to Whedon for quite some time maybe, the deal to give him charge of Batgirl movie took place around Feb 2017, months before the reporters or other "sources" got any idea about it, just goes to show how little we actually know about what's happening behind the scenes at WB.
It also shows that they have something planned for their characters, that is.. they are not throwing s#it at wall to see what sticks, as commented by some bloggers.
Editing a valid topic means that you can't handle adult conversations. How the hell are you a moderator?
You really don't think anger directed at Whedon that's massive on social pages belongs in a topic about the movie? There are calls for him to be fired and it will certainly effect box office and maybe the entire DCEU.
Bury your own head in the sand if you must but let the adults at least talk about it.
Batman-News.com suggests that Patty Jenkins meeting with Emma Stone and Anna Kendrick over the last two nights may be related to Batgirl (while acknowledging that Joss Whedon is absolutely locked in as writer/director).
Since I can't put Brie Larson in as my choice for these roles anymore, at least for a long while I hope....lol
I throw into the mix, Skylar Samuels. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1321094/
