Judd Apatow Takes on the Slasher Genre?

Well I guess everyone has their likes/dislikes. Some will choose Will Ferral, and I will choose Bill Hader.

i think bill hader is ok but is usually surrounded by alot of talented people so i'm sure this wll work.

Apatow Slasher Flick Gains Title and Star!

Back at Sundance CHUD broke the news that funny man Bill Hader was embarking into uncharted waters... horror. Today, they learned that Hader will topline the film currently titled House of Joel. Assuming the movie happens, Hader will play Joel, a potential slasher victim. "The screenplay, a draft of which Hader just handed over to the good people at Apatow, is being co-written with Simon Rich, a writer at Saturday Night Live," reports CHUD. Hopefully this sucker turns out better than Adam Sandler's attempt at horror in The Shortcut. Click over for more.

Yes! Hader + slasher = should be good.

Needs hot chicks who are willing to go naked and I'm in all the way.

Apatow is great at developing characters, I'd love to see him make some kind of slasher film of his own. And thank God for this project, that we're finally going to be seeing it(in a somewhat "comedic" sense, as well, I guess).

I keep thinking with a mix of horror and comedy. That could be something really cook but not stupid. I think Apatow can combine those two and make it something cool without it looking like a spoof.

I hope the funny parts are funny and the scary parts scary and not the opposite.
I still really like Young Frankenstein because it was almost like a real Frankenstein movie harmoniously blended with Mel Brooks' humor.
