Well there's no rule that says it can't be animated and Ampersand used animation for his X-men entry, so I figured it was okay.

why thank you, it took me six days of looking back and forth from the cover to the piece of paper (pain in the a**) but it's not really creative, pretty much the same as the cover so it won't win.

Thanks folks, i usually don't do any color in my art, i guess that's my thing, i love pencil shading, anyone that wants to take it and color it in photoshop or something feel free, i'd love to see how it comes out.
