Jumanji: The Next Level

As divided as The Last Jedi was, even the stupidest guy in the industry knows opening against one of those movies is a suicidal move.

Because it made money and Sony is desperate for money making franchises?

To be fair, Jumanji 2 opened against TLJ and still did big box office bucks.

They probably got confidence from J2's performance in the wake of TLJ, as if SW is a lucky charm for them lol.

It has done great. But this is probably pushing your luck.

Not really. Episode 9 is going to drop further from 8. There is even less risk this time. Star Wars has lost a lot of that fear factor...

SW Ep 9 will 'recover' (if that was needed, but that's a different story, based on people's panic about near Box Office return of $1.3 Billion not being enough) based on JJ's return and the simple fact of a trilogy's conclusion.

Jumanji 3 will still do block's in line with it's budget but I'm not so sure it'll repeat this one's success, plus would it be a returning cast or a new Jumanji game style approach as was the first to reflect the times we exist in.

Ignoring the damage done by episode 8,there is no big pull for episode 9. Trilogy conclusion is not enough. We all know there will be future Star Wars episodes and trilogies. Unless they bring back Darth Vader, there is not much to look forward to.

After Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle gave Star Wars: The Last Jedi a run for its money in December and has become the highest grossing non-Spider-Man hit that Sony Pictures has generated in forever, the studio has started the process toward the inevitable next installment. Sony Pictures is in talks with Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner to write a sequel that will reunite Dwayne Johnson with Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan and the rest of the ensemble.

They're going to use the same characters huh? This'll undoubtedly add another level to the game...

Bring back Kirsten Dunst and what's-his-name kids from the first movie.

Still not sure how they're gonna bring back the same characters but I enjoyed the sequel so if it's as good as that one I have no problem with it.

Maybe they will Wreck it Ralph it and make it Jumanji goes Internet

Huh, interesting.

Seen a couple headlines referring to this as Jumanji 2, and it's just like...

She was hilarious in CRA but her and Hart together might be too much to take :D
