Time travel lol
That is not such a bad idea actually, not for the JP franchise, but just for a really good dinosaur adventure movie. I don't know of a serious good movie that has been made like that in the modern era(apart from King Kong). Why not?
I am always surprised by the enthusiasm for more JP movies, I think the first one is the only one worth watching really, because it had the new spin on people being trapped in an amusement park, it did not need sequels, although thre second one *could* have run more with the concept of Dinosaurs being unleashed in the civilian population, that would have been something to see with today's CGI.
So, yeah, no more of these trapped in an amusement park with dinos hurry we have to get to that door and shut it on it's face nonsense, let them fly/run loose in the city for the whole movie, or don't bother.
Funny how I completely disagree with every statement in this postThat is not such a bad idea actually, not for the JP franchise, but just for a really good dinosaur adventure movie. I don't know of a serious good movie that has been made like that in the modern era(apart from King Kong). Why not?

Funny how I completely disagree with every statement in this postExcept the part about no good movies about time travel, that is pretty spot on. That is, until you mention King Kong; What has King Kong to do with time travel?
I have explained this in here before...dinosaurs running around a thriving metropolis is dumb and not scary at all. Dinosaurs in our world is not scary. The part where the Rex was running around San Diego was stupid. I do not want to see Raptors running around office buildings or backyards. What is scary is when we are in their element. Otherwise, SWAT helicopters or the Army would have been there asap and blasted those buggers to hell. It's just not scary. When you are walking around a forest a Rex or a Raptor pops out of the trees/bushes...that is scary.
They sort of had two stories going in The Lost World and blew their load. They could have had two movies from what they were trying to tell. I would have loved a movie alone where rich game hunters were taken onto the island to hunt dinosaurs. What bigger hunt than a Rex? Then you could have made a movie about scientists and hippies trying to save the animals from the government trying to eradicate them. Both provide ample terror to people we all want to see get eaten (hunters and hippies).
Forgive me but wasn't it stated in one of the films the Dinosaurs wouldn't be able to survive for very long due to some sort of chemical or protein that the scientist had to give them?

Lol. When I was a kid, my granddad would call them "dyna-snorters" to get me riled up (like any self respecting 7 year old, I was a dinosaur fanatic).I want Goldblum back because I liked the way he said 'Dinosaurs'.
"D-D-DinoSawws".
I expect the dinosaurs to be sporting feathers and lisps this time around.
Will J.J. Abrams Direct The New 'Jurassic Park' Film? The fact that Spielberg ditched Robopocalypse just two days ago, and for this movie to finally get a release date is no coincidence. I think Spielberg read the latest draft by Jaffa & Silver, loved it, and wanted to get going on JP4 instead.
Spielberg ain't taking a break, he's definitely vetting directors for JP4 now. He must have a short list, because he said he's going to redevelop Robopocalypse in March. He wants to get the director locked for JP4 and get pre-production going before going back to his pet project.
Mark Hughes said:News just broke of Universals announcement that Jurassic Park IV will open in theaters in June of 2014. Steven Spielberg will produce, and now everyone is anxiously awaiting word on who might direct and star in the film.
Ill start the speculation rolling by suggesting J.J. Abrams might be high on Spielbergs list of choices to helm the film. Abrams has obviously more than proven himself capable of handling a big effects-and-action driven franchise, and he has a working relationship with Spielberg. Abrams style also reflects influences from Spielberg, of course, so that would lend the film some added sense of continuity with some previous entries in the series as well.
Word of the new 3D dinosaur flick has sent the Internet into a frenzy this afternoon, and itll only get more intense in the coming days and weeks. A June 2014 release date is a pretty tight schedule to meet, so the studio will have to really fast-track the production, and that means we should hear additional news pretty soon.
Rupert Wyatt is the other name that comes instantly to mind to possibly fill the directors chair. His work on Rise of the Planet of the Apes was phenomenal and demonstrated a great ability to balance visual effects action with strong story and character development.
Im sure more names will be tossed around as the media debates which filmmaker will get the job, but these two should be high on any short-list of nominees.
