Thing is a ****ing juggernaut. Even if Colin ain't coming back, he has pretty much written his own ticket now regarding future projects.

They'll offer him a ****load of money to return. I think he'll strongly consider it.

I loved the fact that the film made back stories and created a theme park out of nothing.

Shirts, mugs, etc.....

Fair point Marvolo. The writing and characters wasnt the films strongest suit IMO. My friends took me to see this film as a birthday present on Friday and I didn't come out happy at all. I'll give it a second viewing but I just found it awful.

the characters in the first film were better written imo. Just found them better than some of the characters in JW who seemed like they didn't even want to be there. Pratt was charismatic, I'll give him that.

I enjoyed it. I'd give it a 7/10 as of now. I'll probably amend that after more viewings. I didn't really connect with the characters. Well except for Blue. I absolutely loved Blue!:D I liked Pratt's character Owen, and would like for him to return in the sequel. Claire was good for a couple of laughs, but not much else. Same with Jake Johnson's character Lowery. I wish we could have gotten more of Omar Sy's Barry and Irrfan Khan's Masrani. I did not care for what they did with Wu. The kids and their jeopardy never really connected with me at all. And Hoskins...God, what an abysmal ****stain of a character. [BLACKOUT]The best thing he did was die.[/BLACKOUT]

The I-Rex was a bit of a let down. Am I alone in thinking it had no personality? It just pops in and out of the movie. Breathes, sniffs, growls eats some cannon fodder and exit's stage left rinse repeat. I was bit let down by the final fight too. Would have preferred it happening in the day. Tho the way the T-Rex steps out of the darkness was fantastic, I admit.. [BLACKOUT]Blue and the T-Rex teaming up[/BLACKOUT] was so cool!!! I just wish the fight had had a bit more...oomph. It felt a bit hollow and the way it ends was unsatisfying. The audience I was with just sort of set there after it was over and one person said "well, that just happened."

Like I said tho I'm gonna have to watch it again and let things sink in and really go through it. I've learned not to trust my initial thoughts on films. They are more a rough draft of how I feel about a film.

The most obvious thing I realised while watching the movie is that the audience really connected with Blue and the other raptors. I mean seriously connected with them.
When the raptors turn the audience gasped and were upset. When the one gets blown up you could hear a pen drop. When Blue decides to stick up for Owen they cheered and when Blue gets thrown into the Wall they gasped. When she came running to help T they cheered. They loved Blue. So the raptors were a success I think. Spielberg and Colin aced that aspect.

lol I wonder if Colin Trevorrow saw this toy commercial when he came up with Jurassic World?

Jurassic Park Chaos Effect Toy Commercial (1998)

It had hybrid Dinos haha.

So that whole
militarized raptors thing
that's been rumored for years managed to make it into this one. Anyway, it had problems but I loved it. 7.5/10. The I-Rex was a great movie monster.

I guess this was a deleted scene after all.

$511 Million WW on opening weekend. That's fantastic

The I-Rex was an awesome movie monster. The first half of the movie straight up felt like a classic horror flick. Too bad he was underdeveloped.

Is that **** she is rubbing all over herself?

Yep to hide her scent. A scene that was cut and will surely end up a deleted scene. Marvolo I can't remember but you loved the film yeah?

Honestly, I thought the build up for her, from the opening scene to all the expositing in the paddock about her behavior set up a great villain for the movie. I was satisfied. And I loved the fight at the end. It was like the park itself fighting back against this alien force.

Certain very, very fringe sexual fetishists are in complete bliss by that clip above.

Please note, fellow SHH! posters: All the dinosaurs at Jurassic World are FEMALE. They are not Male.

Thanks,
Jurassic Park Nerd

Eh, if these creatures reproduce asexually, does gender truly matter?

So basically the message is that they were fighting a bunch of *****y girls.

It does with Indominus. She's a female and it's clearly stated in the film haha.

Well, obviously but considering that these Dinos don't do the cha-cha, I don't really hold gender as an important detail.

Well she ate her sibling. And now she's going to eat you Doomsday! :oldrazz:
