Well I figure, even roller coasters lead to deadly disasters every now and then. My odds are probably no worse in JWorld than, say, skydiving. So if it's my time, it's my time, lol.

Exactly. That Park ran for what 10 or 15 years? What are the odds you go on the one day they all escape? Take the chances and run (at least in a bubble) with Triceratops, Brontosaurus', and Stegosaurus'? Worth it.

Oh, yeah that Amblin logo at the start nailed me right in the childhoods.

Ah Hell no, Remember King Kong, Peter was good for LOTR trilogy but stay away from Jurassic Park!

I do remember King Kong, and do not like that movie but who is to say that the concept of JP is something he couldnt do? I don't know I think it woudn't be the worst idea ever.

Kill as in making us all fall asleep in his 3 1/2 hour self indulgent mess?

I'd be willing to give him the benefit of another chance. He is a great visual director and maybe with Spielberg as producer he gets reigned in a bit?

I can already see the meltdown if this beat's AoU's opening weekend...

Looks like we will get plenty of dino mayhem for a while.

All but guaranteed at this point. The real question is, can it beat TA's OW?

So happy to see that the King has returned!

Well, as an Avengers fan (who enjoyed the hell out of AOU) I wouldn't really mind. :woot:

A shame Amblin barely makes anything nowadays, would be cool to see them creating some new properties nowadays.

Awesome movie and the story was great to boot. All actors were great and no one really was annoying like the sequels were full of.

Major props to Trevorrow for taking on a HUGE blockbuster movie for his 2nd feature film. However, I can't help but wish that Brad Bird would've done this, instead of Tomorrowland. The characters would have been stronger, more likable and he probably would have taken more advantage to tug on people's heart strings (Iron Giant, anyone?). I get that Trevorrow attempted to do this, but most of those moments really fell flat. The only exception being when [BLACKOUT]Owen was comforting the dying (I think) brontosaurus.[/BLACKOUT]

It was really cool to see the theaters full on THURSDAY

I haven't seen a theater sold out since the day's of Avatar or Avengers ONE.

SOLD OUT in I mean people sitting in the very front ROW even.

Breaking News: per deadline

Avengers OW (opening World Wide Weekend) in Jeopardy

I knew it was big when I saw the lines at the theaters unlike I haven't seen since the likes of Avengers or Star Wars

My ramblings

I thought it exceeded my expectations by a lot. I felt like a kid again watching this. I didn't expect them to capture the same feel as the original but they did for me. As much as I love Lost World this feels the like the real sequel. Chris Pratt was great and the kids weren't as annoying as I thought they would be. And that last 30 minutes was gold, GOLD, they made sure you get some badass Dino action. If there was anything I thought didn't work, it would be that divorce subplot, it never felt anything important. Overall, it's absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to see it again and again.
9.5/10

Wow, did anyone see this colossal success coming? I had no idea JW was so huge, even the reactions to the trailers seemed lukewarm. It was sold out everywhere in Orlando! Of all the 2015 movies, I surely didn't expect JW and FF7 to be as big as the Avengers.

Very happy for Star-lord, he's turning out to be quite the BO star.

Chris Pratt's stock is getting higher and higher

Happy to hear you loved it Kane, great gifs! I might be asking you soon to make me a JW avvy :word:

Oh definitely big time. Very happy for him too guy deserves it. Can't wait to see more of him in the future now.

Yeah, he is not overrated or a one trick pony as some nerds claim. They're gonna be knocking his door down.

I could tell this would be big when I saw it. The showing my friends and I were originally going to was sold out and the showing we were in was packed. So many college kids home for the summer on dates or with friends. I heard so many of them geeking out over the series during the trailers. That was Thursday night. I can only imagine this weekend, with families taking their kids to see it. Can't wait to see it again. Might honestly be my favorite of the year.

I rated this movie a solid 8/10 right under the original movie which I gave a 9/10. This movie is a better sequel to the first movie than the previous two ( though Lost World still is okay with me). There were moments that captured the magic of the original (
seeing the original visitors center, the classic jeep, and the apperence of the original T. Rex
but it still wasn't quite there. I just think it was a missed opprotunity to get a cameo from at least Ian, Grant, or the kids. If Jurassic World had that, I would have flipped out and it actually.

that would have been over the top.

Why are you so gung-ho on getting a cameo from the original characters. It's really not needed at all. We got Grant twice in the trilogy, we got Ian twice in the trilogy. We got Lex and Tim twice even though they had a small cameo in TLW. We got Ellie in JP3. There is absolutely no need really to physically see them again in World or really even mention them.

Ian's book seems like enough. If they physically threw in one of the old characters then it would really feel like they were shoving the nostalgia down our throats.

It's actually shocking to me that people in my showing last night didn't pick up on the fact that
The T-Rex is the climax is the original T-Rex from the first movie
I think the movie should have been more clear with that info, since it's only known to people that visit the movie website or are on message boards and such.

that would have been over the top.

How so? These are the characters that nearly died at the original park and it would have been cool to get their opinion on Jurassic World or what they have been up too since those events 22 years ago. Besides, Lex and Tim were Hammond's grandkids and you would think he would have allowed them to have some say so in the construction of Jurassic World. People didn't mind when Lennard Nimoy ( RIP) made a cameo in the 2009 Star Trek reboot.. So I don't think it would been a problem here.
