Well...I'm sorry, but I have to disappoint you.
Gambit hasn't been himself in many months.
No cool fights, not too many cool one-liners, zippo.
Thank you Marvel "writers" for being so blatant
in your childish dislike for a fictional person.
To put it simply, he's been thru heck and back and treated like crap for the past while. Very long while, really.
SPOILERS (highlight to read)
To summarize:
He lost his powers and got
them back.
He went blind and regained his sight.
As far as I know, as of late he became the horsemen death,
tried to kill Rogue, (twice, I think), and is taking a "break"
from the comics for awhile, but is most likely going to be back.
(Read: The so-called writers hate him, so they don't feel like
writing him right now. It was rumored that they were actually
going to get rid of him for a bit there (!), but we got him back-just not
ASAP. And that's not just my opinion!)
That's all I know. Oh, and his relationship pre-Death with Rogue
was crap-tastic. There was this whole mess with Mystique,
which led to them fighting and Rogue being a royal witch to the poor guy.

Being a Gambit Fan-girl, myself, I'm just as upset as his male fans.
Sure appreciate him for the fact that he's hawt, but besides
that, I like him (even if it doesn't always come across) for
the fact that he's such a cool character.
I don't know if anyone here was a member, but I really miss
the Gambit Guild forums. I think this time they are really gone
for good. It was a great way to get out all that fan-girl-ness
that is pent up inside me 24/7.:heart:
RIP Gambit Guild.
(Guess there's no reason I can't do the same here or elsewhere,
but there it was just more special.)
