Sequels Gambit: What Should They Do With Him?

He's one of the coolest and most popular X-Men, I'd like to see him in another film. But their really hasn't been any talk about him. Their was rumors about a spin-off but that got dismissed pretty quickly. Then rumors started about him possibly appearing in First Class and that also got denied. So, what should they do with Gambit? I've heard he could possibly appear in Wolverine 2, which would be pretty nice, but how could he fit in the storyline if it will take place in Japan? I'm thinking it'd be quite a minor role if he did appear in it.

I think this character has a lot of potential and I'd hate to see it get wasted. What do you guys think they should do with the character Gambit? t:

I think its dumb that they didn't put Gambit in the X trilogy because they aid his powers mirror Cyclops and attitude is like Wolverine's, clearly people at Fox didn't kno what they were talking about...because they used him in XMO

but since the X trilogy played out like it did, I wld like to see Gambit show up in potential First Class sequels...w/o Logan, we need a "bad boy" character, and he can clash w/Cyclops and also their is room for a story between him and Storm, relationship, hmm maybe...and possibly by the 3 movie he leaves the team...or for a dramatic twist he is killed during a battle w/humans and since him and Storm being close that could lead 2 why in X1/2 she was angry/scared of humans...

That would be a cool idea for tying things together, for sure. And if down the road we see an X4, we could possibly see him there - maybe Sinister was behind his downfall and faked his death in order to turn him against the X-Men (I think that's more or less Morph's role in the X-Men cartoon, haha)

Well if Rogue will be in the new X-Men movies, I'd like to see the Gambit & Rogue relationship. That was a great part of Gambit's character, was his relationship with her, well in my opinion anyways.

If they do X4, introduce Sinister as the villain w/ Gambit as a member/maybe field leader of the Marauders. Gambit still being youthful could be explained as a side effect of experiments Sinister had performed on Gambit.

I think Gambit is a character you really should pair with Wolverine for the X-Men Origins Wolverine purely because Gambit is the only character at this point that knows anything about wolverines past that wolverine knows about from there brief encounter after he lost his memory.

I could potentially see Gambit accompany Wolverine in Japan leading him to Silver Samrui... then have Gambit and Wolverine part ways by the end of Wolverine 3.

However i also feel X-Men Origins: Gambit could potentally be made as i feel his character has an interesting back story in new orleans.

I would love to see him in the sequel to First Class. Played by Taylor Kitsch perhaps--they can pick up kinda where Wolverine left off...

I'd like to see Gambit in the Deadpool spin off. Although i know that's never going to happen. They could include him in wolverine 2. Gambit has a history with Yukio and he has been all over the world. So him showing up in Japan wouldn't even be far fetched.

I just hate that they're making all of these spin offs. Gambit in X-men 4 would be perfect.

I would like Gambit to appear in Wolverine 2. For me, he was one of the highlights of Wolverine 1.

If First Class is following on from the continuity of Wolverine i can imagine him making an appearance. Maybe secretly checking up on the kids to see how they are doing or something.

Meh, i don't want to see Gambit in a first class movie. I think he works better when he's around mature characters. His morals would clash with others and his personality would get infuriate some X-men and charm others. Also, the Gambit we got in Origins was very mild and way too nice (as was Wolvie BTW). I wanna see "fresh out of the Big Easy" Gambit. I wanna see him gamble, cheat, steal, lie, seduce, decieve, con, and smoke damnit!

and that is why he should be in "First Class"...all the traits you've mentioned will work because he would be the "wolverine" of this franchise, imo this movie will need a break-out character like gambit, since Logan won't be in it...he could bump heads w/Scott, build a relationship w/Storm, and you can the trust issue as to which side Gambit is playing for...XMO did little for his character, so this would be a way to flesh his character out, imo a solo film would flop....

but I would prefer him in a sequel...

Because i think all those traits would be dialed down and much less believable when it's a 16 year old Gambit. I'm guessing if he'll appear in First Class, he'll be 15,16,17.

The way they've srewed up contiuity at FOX it will be hard to find a way to use him that wont piss alot of ppl off

I think they should bring him back in the future X-Men movies and develop his character. They don't have to retcon Kitsch's character. Just say, he got older.
