....and gotta say, the trilogy fits well together as a whole, and its great to watch characters like Peter, MJ, Aunt May and especially Harry grow and develop.

I still have my issues with 3, but gotta say, it feels like a satisfying trilogy closer when watched with the other 2, and the characters all develop in a good way, and the way in which Harry's arc ends is just perfect to me.

Has anyone else watched them all in a row yet? If not i recommend it.

I haven't watched them back to back, but I did watch them over a period of 3 days. One per day.

I can't say it changed my opinion of Spider-Man 3. The first two had a natural flow and were well structured. The third was just all over the place with it's plotlines. I still like it, it's not without it's merits, but getting it on DVD only re-affirmed that it's the weakest of the three, IMO.

^I dont know, i have enjoyed it a lot more on DVD for some reason, as i have said in another thread, maybe at the cinema the quieter, more emotional moments were overshadowed by the spectacle at the cinema, but they seem to come more to the fore on DVD.

3 still has many flaws, but i find it much more enjoyable now than i did in May.

I have to wait til Tuesday to to the movie marathon, although it'll probably get pushed back til next weekend.

I've watched the first Spider-Man and then the second one in one afternoon, after seeing SM3. And I can say it does make alot more sense to watch them in order. I liked how the characters transitioned from 1 to 2 and then 3 made much more sense after that. LOL.

I'll have to wait until the DVD comes out on Oct 30, before I can see SM3 again.

I'm have to wait till next week(Tuesday). The marathon will begin on Wednesday night.

I will watch the Spidey3 DVD on Tuesday and on wednesday I will have a marathon.

i watched the firs t2 before i saw the 3rd one 3 times in the theatre, i love it, but the only flaws to me are the knowledge of knowing how much they deleted from this film overshadowing certain scenes...mainly when the symbiote first bonds with peter...i always hope to see the emblem on the chest turn black, but it always skips over that for some stupid reason

I'm planning on doing the marathon soon.

I will have a "marathon" over Thanksgiving break. That's my game plan.

I would do it as soon as I get Spidey 3 on DVD (this Tuesday), but I'm buried in schoolwork for the next few weeks. :(

i'm doing it next thursday. looking forward to it

I have not watched them three in a row like this, but I still say 3 suffers terribly in comparision.... 3 was just all over the place. I'm in the experience to watch awesome life-and-death battles of wits between paranormal opponents, not watch Harry and MJ frying eggs in Harry's kitchen. Seriously. How can I respect an egg-frying [or scrambling, whatever] villian? I'm supposed to fear him?

Remember the days when supervillains nursed their grudges in their Manhattan penthouses as they drank Maker's Mark at twelve noon and hallucinated hearing the voice of their alter-egos? Then they looked in mirrors and did more hallucinating? This is proper supervillain behavior, not villains visiting their estranged daughters and.... caring. Bah. Humbug.

I uhh..havent really been able to watch 1 or 2 since 3 :(.

Im worried I won't like them as much anymore.

You know how in 3 Aunt May tells Peter that its not their place to want Uncle Ben's killer dead and she takes no comfort in the knowledge that Spiderman killed him, well when you go back and watch 2, she says that she doesnt "know what I would do" if she ever faced his killer. TEH THREE-OLOGY IS RUINs.

she would probably just smack him the face and that would be about it, LOL.

and how the heck can you watch spiderman 3 when it isnt even out yet on DVD?

The Spider-Man 3 DVD was released much earlier in some countries like back in September.

The DVD is basically out everywhere, except the US. I think its been out in Australia for like a month. Not only that, but the DVD rips were leaked online over the summer.

Perhaps she did some soul searching charater development stuff.

I meant that if you are afraid to watch the first two because you think you might not like them anymore just because you're disappointed in SM3, then you'll probably find a way not to like them.

The only real problem with viewing it as a trilogy is that Spidey doesn't have an arch enemy. The Green Goblin is killed in the first movie, and Harry never becomes the Green Goblin, so that character is never resurrected.

It doesnt really effect the trilogy though to be honest, and its great to watch Harry and Peter grow and develop over all 3.

I've watched SM1 and SM2 more times than I can count, so I won't be re-watching them anytime soon.

But in a way the Green Goblin still is his nemesis because look at the chain of events his death causes:

Harry to hate Peter, which causes Harry to strike the deal with Doc Ock leading to the kidnap of MJ. Then later forcing MJ out of Peter's life leaving him completely alone and even more susceptible to the symbiote.
