Comprises seasons 1 and 2 of the animated Vixen shorts plus 15 minutes of new content. I never could get into the Arrowverse TV shows but I'm a DC fan and familiar with the characters so I had no problem following this. I liked it.

For those who do follow the CW shows, what are your thoughts on the animated Vixen? How well was it integrated into the live-action Arrow (and Flash, I believe)? Have there been any continuity gaffs between the animations and her live-action adventures?

By the way, it was nice to hear JL/JLU's own 'Hawkgirl' as 'Dr Vargas'! Man, her voice still makes me go weak at the knees! :yay:

The only real continuity gaffe is Amaya (Mari's grandmother) having her totem taken off in an episode of Legends. The webseries/movie established that they need that spider venom to remove the totem after it has bonded with Mari.

Another weird thing is that the Vixen name was given to Mari by Cisco, who presumably had no knowledge of Amaya's previous adventures as Vixen. Even down to a similar costume and the same totem.

And it can be hard to place it exactly in the timeline since it jumps all over the place.

I didn't know that her grandmother had also used the name 'Vixen'. That is weird.

Thanks.

I watched the first season back when it first came out. I liked it, and I think it suffered by being to small and too brief to really dig into and completely uncapitalized on. I really liked it, and wanted more a great deal, but by the time we got more with Vixen sporting a much diminished costume to guest against Dum Dum Dugan, or Amaya joining the Time League, or Season 2, I'd already gotten into and out of 10 different shows and couldn't bring myself to find those old feelings to go and hunt down season 2.

The Movie is a solid watch. It has both seasons and new content edited together into a coherent film.

The movie isn't broken up into episodes, it runs continuously; but I'm guessing that the second season starts around the point of the 'One Year Later' caption that appears on-screen roughly half-way through.

I see you've included it in your viewing order/chronology. How did you decide where to place it?

Season 1 has to take place before Oliver goes to Nanda Parbat and changes his costume.

Season 2 has to take place before Rip recruits the Legends and before Weather Wizard goes to prison on the Flash, but after Jax becomes Firestorm. But the scene at the very end leads directly into a later Arrow episode, so again, it's tricky.
