I AM SIGHING IN EXASPERATIONBatman the 6th said:So,why did they use Bart Allen in Smallville? Because David Goyer watns to make a flash movie right? Just like Josh Whedon, we haven't heard anything on these 2 movies(WW)

Anubis said:Bart Allen being in Smallville has nothing to do with Goyer doing a Flash movie. They used Bart because that's who they wanted to use. And as far as not hearing anything on them, well, they haven't finished the scripts yet. hell, they might not even get made. Look how long it took them to get a Superman movie made.
lolz omg no matter how many times ppl bring that up, it still manage to not have any relevance whatsoever lol!!1Batman the 6th said:Ur right, you guys are talented writers with your own #1 show who does so much better. Oh, wait. I gotta say S4 was the worst one, but all the rest were pretty good. I'm not saying the show is perfect. Every show has its flaws.

Smallville sucks. You can clearly tell this is so because the only significant developments come in the season premieres and finales.

Bart's origin requires knowledge of all the other Flashes, though. He's Barry's grandson, born in the future, then sent back to the present to be trained by Wally, and eventually he wound up living with Jay and Joan. If Smallville and pretty much every comic book movie so far have shown us anything, it's that they hate having to include those little minutiae about a character's history.bengus said:This is off-topic to the JL (sorry about that) but I think there's a real push to make Bart the new Flash out of media. What issue 2 of Flash clearly showed was that the complete origin of Bart Allen was way cooler and a lot more interesting than other flashes. I felt it was a bit more interesting having his origin start from his childhood (virtual reality living life at exceptional speed). I think it would make a much more interesting Flash to a newcomer.![]()

But, given the nature of the Flash, it could easily be any of the Flashes who end up appearing in the movie.
I'm not going to debate the finer points of Superman Returns, but you do know that the properties and results of Kryptonite have changed and fluctuated dramatically over the years, right? Singer's view on it is perfectly valid.sethcohen said:that and they like to ignore characteriztion and SET DETAILS because it confines their storytelling ability... blah... atleast Smallville got kryptonite right... that i can say... take THAT singer!
Meh, I didn't really notice. He got affected bad by it, which is good enough for me, really. You can **** about a lot of things in the movie (although I enjoyed it myself), but Kryptonite... meh, it's always been a fluctuating concept. It goes from being lethal to being a nuesance all the time.TheCorpulent1 said:Superman's power levels around it were kind of inconsistent even within the movie, though.
all 25 years ive been alive and as far as ive read, superman KNOWS when kryptonite is around, being that he doubles over in pain! it doesnt just make him powerless, it makes him weak... something he should have noticed...Harlekin said:I'm not going to debate the finer points of Superman Returns, but you do know that the properties and results of Kryptonite have changed and fluctuated dramatically over the years, right? It's surprised Supes before. I'll agree he should have noticed sooner, but then again, he was away for five years. Either way, I didn't care so much.sethcohen said:all 25 years ive been alive and as far as ive read, superman KNOWS when kryptonite is around, being that he doubles over in pain! it doesnt just make him powerless, it makes him weak... something he should have noticed...
