Justin Timberlake Leading I'm.mortal?

I love the trailer and the concept.

Looking forward to this one.

but they did show too much. lol.

Gotta say, I'm really getting tired of movies that have an exceptional cast other than the lead actor. If you had one of the other, better actors in this (Bomer, Murphy) as the lead instead of Timberdouche, it might really elevate this movie. The scenes they both had took the trailer to a higher level than anything Justin did there. But of course, they're not "names" like him. Which is really kind of a joke because he's not famous for his acting. He's famous for dancing around on stage and singing like a castrato.

And yeah, he was great in The Social Network, blah blah blah. Like someone else said here, he was really just playing a more *****ey version of himself there. He hasn't been good in anything else, other than the occasional SNL sketch.

Looking forward to this one. Niccol is one of my favorite directors so I'll be there for sure.

This looks pretty good.I plan to see this when it comes out.

those are CGI models. but must a poster have realistic effects? its a poster right.

I don't mind him a side a side actor, but i find him not great as leading man material.

I fear that this might end up being one of those movies that are too serious.

I watched In Time yesterday.

Verdict: Crap

1.5/5

The sound mix bothered be a little when Timberlake's character was having a conversation with another and while the dialogue was clear and present with the other character, his voice was occluded. Add to that an empty sounding movie with limited scoring and there were times when it really could have benefited from filling acoustic space.

The characters are not particularly engaging. There's an almost sad moment when Olivia Wilde's character dies, but it's more frustrating than sad, and mostly sad because the best performer exits the story early on. Cillian Murphy does well in the villain role with his uncompromising cop. The rest are largely forgettable.

Stunts are mostly what is seen in the trailers plus another few car crashes. There's sweet Jason Statham moment that lasts for about 2 seconds and that's about it for interesting stuntwork.

Honestly, there were some really great concepts going on here, but somehow the execution misfired. Every twenty minutes there would be a great moment, and then the movie slumped into it's usual lacklustre self.

Avoid.

I want to see this movie but im not very fond of Timberlake he doenst scream lead to me. I wish Boomber got the lead such a good cast other than JT.

I liked this movie. Its not perfect but it has an interesting concept and for the most part it works really well. Timberlake is a really good lead. I thought he'd only be able to handle comedy leads but he is really good in the dramatic/action stuff as well. His chemistry with Amanda Seyfried is really good but she doesn't have much to do. I loved to the two main villains with Murphy and the guy from Mad Men. I thought they were great. They both portrayed the infinite knowledge they should have since they've been alive for like 150 years. Few complaints here and there but none them really ruined my viewing experience. I'd say its a 7 out of 10 and I recommend it to everyone.

Jason Statham called. He wants his movie back.

Does Timberlake even make music anymore?

No, but he needs to go back to doing it. I'm so tired of these musicians trying to be actors. Just because you sell 10 million albums doesn't mean you'll sell 10 million movie tickets.

he is'nt trying to be an actor he is an actor

oh and the coen brother just offered timberlake the lead in their next film

not bad or a guy trying to be an actor fincher then coens? Huh

I agree. Jason Statham is alpha male supreme. He is a good actor when put into the right role as well. Justin Timberlake acting hasn't managed to bypass my nickelodeon boy-child star image of him. Saying that, I generally try to aviod any movie he is in.

Good movie. Lacked the depth I thought it should have for such a potentially profound premise but its an enjoyable movie. Its a great allegory for where we may be headed in society and is relevant to current events.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I used to be a Timberlake hater back in the day but I gotta give the guy his due. He's good on screen and could get even better.

Then you'd be avoiding Social Network and Alpha Dog. Both phenomenally awesome movies. Hating Timberlake got old a long time ago after he got past his N'Sync stage - this is coming from one of the masses who used to make fun of him. Even David Fincer saw his acting talent. This film was good, but could have been better. The bus scene was poignant since I've been guilty of avoiding people like that myself in LA who've just stated they want to get home. Btw, thread needs new title.

Seyfried as a redhead in Pfeffier mode =

Timberlake is a great actor. He's very charismatic in comedies, and he is surprisingly good in more dramatic or action orientated roles like this one. Is that true about the Coen Brothers offering him the lead?

When our sun goes from yellow to red than explodes and turns into the a black hole in the centre of the galaxy, it will still be ok to dislike Justin Timberlake.
He can't act. when he's in a movie, it's a not a character, it's justin timberlake.

The lead is Oscar Isaac but I imagine if Timberlake accepts is quite a big role as well, as much as Mulligan's role is my guess.
I was excited for this but the receptions to it left me skeptic, so I think I'll pass on watching this on the cinema.

Damn all this Timberlake hate is just pitiful. The dude is a damn good actor and literally has f'n killed every role he has touched, haven't seen this one yet though
