The Colin Farrel thing was a joke my brother was making that I could see happening...and I would not like.

There was no one asked besides Daniel Craig, is that correct?

I doubt that Daniel Criag thing was real. There may have been talk back when Vaughn was in the mix, because they worked together on Layer Cake and the newshounds just found out when that got released.

The Colin thing was a dread/joke you shared with us. :csad: LOL

Jake G was rumored to be asked to play Thor:waa:by an Unreliable source :woot:

thanks for the info. Daniel Craig would be much better. I realize most of the things on here are speculative. But sometimes you guys are uncannily on target.

Daniel Craig Says NO to THOR Written by Stephanie Sanchez Monday, 20 October 2008 James Bond has invaded Beverly Hills today with stars Daniel Craig and Olga Kurylenko and director Mark Forster attending the press day for the 22nd Bond film Quantum of Solace.

IESB's Robert Sanchez talked with both Olga and Daniel, who actually had a bit to say about another widely known hero, THOR, who is currently set up over at MARVEL for a 2010 release with Kenneth Branagh attached to direct.

IESB asked if Craig was interested in doing something a little different character-wise, like Thor?
Craig said no, he turned it down and laughed about it.
Sanchez continued, “seriously, I heard the folks over at Marvel had you on a short list to be Thor.”
Craig said yes they [Marvel] did approach him but he turned it down. He added jokingly, it would have been too much of a power trip, both Bond and Thor, and running around with long hair and a hammer.

^This is where I saw it and I heard some other reports about it as well.

Sorry Marz, my brother said that and I felt I had to bring it up bc it made me laugh but still seemed possible. :(

I saw Quantum and Craig is starting to look a little older than I remembered him in Layer Cake and Casino Royale. I don't really like him for Thor, the more I think about it.

I wouldn't pick him. But we could do a lot worse.

And he was on Boston Legal. He would make a better Cap.

look every actor they get for Thor...and Cap are pretty much interchagable.

Unless you want to go with gigantic Sweed, power lifter type for the role.

I can't think of too many Nordic type actors that would fit this role..... I should be able to...but I can't Can't.

That guy from the 13th Warrior would have been perfect for Thor about 10 to 15 years ago. Somebody needs to get a freakin time machine together and get the perfect actors in their prime!

Paul Newman as Green Lantern; Robert Redford as Cap; Vincent Price as Dr. Strange.

Ok, I want to play, too:

Gregory Peck as Batman and Rock Hudson as Superman.

so has Branagh been confirmed yet?....IMDB has him listed as the director, but they jump the gun over there sometimes

Orson Welles as Lex Luthor...

Nice;or how about............

Orson Welles as Darkseid. Gravitas.

I dont recall an official confirmation but it's pretty much a given with all concerned that Branagh's been made director as far as I understand.

To the people of the British Isles - if you haven't seen Branagh's movies before or want to see one again, HENRY V is on BBC2 tomorrow at 2.40pm.
