What are the odds that Thor Girl would pop up around this franchise? :o

Quite;

Everyone knows that Ego's being saved for the Avengers movie.

This movie WILL be excellent! Branagh is a perfect choice and he will treat the franchise seriously and with respect. I love the fact that this story will be set in Asgard and be all LOTR-esque.

Marvel is really on the right track. When the big 4 finally meet up in The Avengers, it's gonna be HUGE!!!!

I've seen Branagh in Hamlet(I consider his 'Hamlet' the definitive film adaptation), Much Ado About Nothing, and lots of other films, I think he's the right fit

How would you guys feel if Branagh cast himself as Loki?

maybe 10 years ago it would have been perfect but I think Branagh would know better

I agree. Thor, and GL are my two most anticipated upcoming comic movies, so I'm eager to see whom gets cast.

Is anyone watching Wallander on the BBC?

Branaghs too a bit too old for Loki (and a bit too chubby). He could work as a minor character like other actor/director Jon Favreau did as Happy Hogan.

Favereau has already played Happy Hogan in Iron Man, Franklin 'Foggy' Nelson in Daredevil and one of Bruce Waynes assistants in Batman Forever.

Loki needs to be around the same age as Thor.

Protosevich used Loki as the focal point of his story, so unless something has drastically changed Loki will be the main villain.

So I assume they are going with the Asgard origin of Loki being adopted by Odin.... or do you know?

how hilarious would it be if the movie Branagh was doing turned out to just be a movie about Thor the norse god and was in no way affiliated with marvel

I would cry not-so-manly tears. :csad:

Let's say we get Skars as Thor, who is Loki then?
Well, I like Jude Law for the part. And he's only 4 years older than Skars, so that's close enough that they could look the same age, imo.

It depends if they are keeping the Protosevich script (or something similar) or not. If they are, the story is about Thor's banishment and ultimately his redemption.

If they aren't, then who knows
