Of course it's too early to talk about it but.. do you guys think Kenneth Branagh could be making a sequel..?

If its successful... sure, why not?

Marvel has a pretty good record of getting directors to come back for sequels. Don't see why Branagh wouldn't.

I think a big part of it will be if Branagh sees a story there that needs to be told. I doubt he'd do a sequel for sequel's sake.

That's what gets me more interested about this one. The story should be really good (I don't know if there were any script leaks or stuff like that)

Most heroes got that long run and yet you don't get that many good movies :down

Getting a sequel greenlit doesn't have much to do with the sequel being any good. That comes later.

That's why I asked. What if the movie is good but Branagh is just *not* in for the sequel.. Imagine we get Leterrier.. or Rattner (I know it won't happen--just trying to scare people..)

I'd probably spend at least 3 days crying if Brett Ratner ever landed the job of directing a Thor movie. :csad:

Eh.... I'd probably spend one day crying, the second getting angry, and the third planning ways to kill Ratner before production begins.

Haha -- I read 3 years, for some reason..

i am sure if production goes well, and everyone is happy, and the film does well kenneth would like to return for any future solo thor films.

I wouldn't lump Leterrier in with Ratner. Louis actually has some talent.

I still want to see one of the Scott brothers direct a Superhero movie. I would like Ridley to do one but his getting pretty old and has about 20 movies in development so I would settle for Tony Scott directing an avengers movie he can atleast direct action and get good performances from his actors plus he would have no probabley directing a big blockbuster movie like that.

depends how well thor does, if it does really well I'm sure everyone will be back, if it tanks maybe some poeple will want to distance themselves from it.

i too would love to see what the scott brothers could do with a superhero film.

Tony Scott could make an awesome Punisher film. But that's a property that'll probably lay dormant for a while now.

Kenneth Branagh is very quite about his plans for the film, he gives no interviews, i'm curious what he has in mind.

Tony Scott is a hack. And Ridley lost it years ago :down.....

well kenneth and probably marvel dont want to spill the beans yet about thor. Since they are likely to have a big panel about thor at 2010 comic con and all that.
