Sequels Kevin Feige (Marvel) says our box office $ will be rewarded w/more Spidey Sequels!

This is GREAT news!

It's funny because every so often you'll see a fan say "no, they shouldnt make any more sequels after the third movie..."

I never understood that.

James Bond didnt stop at three...

Star Trek didnt stop at three...

Heck, even Star Wars eventually continued...

In MY opinion, Spider-Man is just as good (and obviously as financially lucrative) as ANY of those franchises, if not more so.

I say keep cranking them out.

give em a chance. it's pretty lame to assume that because this has been such a huge financial success, allowing them to produce more films, that the films quality will suffer. i don't think that they would put one of the most successfull movie franchises of all time in jeoporady just to make a quick buck. because of movies like batman and robin, i think that they realize that they have to be careful.

I think this thread belongs in Spoilers forum also.

I rely on the news being discussed in Spoilers as some of the more minor news doesn't make the SHH frontpage. If you don't get to the internet everyday, the only way to determine biggish news is from a biggish new thread in the Spoilers forum.

However since this item did make the frontpage my point is somewhat moot.

I do think it is being a bit too literal/autistic (delete as appropriate), though, using Feige's comments about future sequels as justification for moving it here, when in fact he is talking about the impact of SM3 on future sequels.
