meet the spartans had a good trailer??????
Now that he mentions it, I remember laughing at something in that trailer. I didn't even laugh at the trailer for Cop Out. But I did laugh at a clip where Morgan punchs the kid in the balls. Wasn't expecting an adult to do that.meet the spartans had a good trailer??????
COP OUT was awesome. it was a funny funny movie. the audience seemd to dig it lots of laughs, theater was about 3/4 full on the biggest screen. rly funny, gr8 parody/homage (or as tracey says in the movie "HO-MA-J" lol). plus the die hard ref was a cheap laugh and obvious but got a good laugh (traceys doing movie lines while interogating a drug peddler... "yippy ki yay motherf**ker!"/bruce willis on the other side "never saw that movie"). totally fun flick. wont win any awards but its totally entertaining.
Adjusted.Everytime Kevin Smith tries to branch out he fails. I guess that hockey movie with Seann William Scott ain't happening. Time for more Jay, Silent Bob, Dante, and Randall.
I haven't seen the film, but I do prefer him as a writer, much, much better.I think he's a way better writer then he is a director.
He directed this film but he didn't write it. Big mistake, IMO.
it seems people are not prepared to watch buddy cop movies anywhere
I remember the good old days of Lethal Weapon
Oh, where is there a place for fun cop movies like Police Academy
At least Police Academy had that guy who could make the funny noises.
Remember all those times Smith publicly **** on other films, but always fall back on "I'm not talented enough to do something like those dudes - so why bother?" Yeah, we can put that excuse to bed now. It's as bad as everyone says.
So guys, is this "official" now: Cop Out is worse than Jersey Girl?
It looks like it'll probably the most successful Kevin Smith movie though.... It made 18 million on a 30 million budget. Even if it makes 40 mil, it'll be a hit for him.
I just recently went to see Cop Out, day before yesterday.
I thought it was really funny/enjoyable, it was great to see Bruce Willis playing the wise-cracking/badass cop but he was better in this than in the fourth Die Hard due to less restrictions in swearing and overall better film. Tracy Morgan was funnier than he was in 30 Rock, that has got to do something with him having a smaller role in 30 Rock.
I think this film is really f***ing underrated because the reviews for the film have been negative-to-average but that is expected for a comedy. To be honest, elitist film critics don't f***ing understand what a good comedy, they mostly like bland/boring comedies.![]()
I was looking forward to it but the reviews worried me a bit. I went to see it anyway, found it really funny unlike the negative reviews.
The f***ing whiny fanboy opinions here, ain't any better than the critics reviews.![]()
