Wow. Never thought Id ever see Kevin Bacon headlining a tv series.

My interest is doubled.

I'm not sure if E! Online is a particularly reliable source of info, but they say his character's name is Ryan Hardy.

....Did someone say Kevin Bacon?

Kevin Bacon needs to be the Serial Killer. Change his role quick

I think he'll do fine as the protagonist. But it certainly does raise the bar for who they choose to play the villain.

He's "retired" from TV.

I put that in quotes because I really believe its only a matter of time before he's lured back. :o

It needs to be someone really ****ing scary/crazy, though.

Matthew Fox would have been better as the FBI guy and Bacon as the killer.

Kevin Bacon on tv? His movie career seemed to be picking up steam has of late
but I can only think having a tv show (could be a hit) and doing movies has a way to raise his profile.
Or he just wants a stable job on the side.

Here's my list of actors that could play the mastermind serial killer.

Brent Spiner
Miguel Ferrer
Elias Koteas
William Fichtner
Jake Weber
Michael Kelly
Dylan Baker
Zeljko Ivanek

Malcolm McDowell

Kevin and his wife lost money to Bernie Madoff so picking up maybe $5-7 million for the first season isn't that bad.

I cant wait until we hear something from Bacon about this. I'd love to hear what he has to say about it.

James Purefoy To Star Opposite Kevin Bacon In Fox’s Kevin Williamson Pilot

Fox’s Kevin Williamson pilot has assembled a formidable leading duo, with Rome alum James Purefoy signing on for the second starring role opposite Kevin Bacon. The untitled project, from Warner Bros TV and Williamson’s studio-based Outerbanks Entertainment, is described as an edge-of-the-seat thriller about Joe Carroll (Purefoy) a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and a retired FBI profiler (Bacon) who finds himself in the middle of it.

Marc ****ing Anthony.

Ah, he will be just fantastic as a serial killer. Consider me excited for this.

Haven't seen much of his work, but I'm hopeful he can pull the role off.

Haven't seen so much either besides Rome but that show is enough know that he's simply a brilliant actor, truly a riveting performance.

With the talents involved and a great premise, for me this just shot up to the pilot to look forward to this year.

Purefoy was excellent in Solomon Kane but I think they should have reversed roles in this, Bacon as the killer and Purefoy as the FBI guy, as Bacon is naturally creepy.

I dont think Bacon is quite that level of a "Must Be a Villain" actor. I think he can efficiently play either. Now, if this was, like.... Jackie Earle Haley or something, then yeah, I'd definitely question that casting if he was the hero. That guy is creepy no matter what.

^^^ Yeah he's not that level creepy, but I always think he's better as a bad guy.
