:woot:

Fortunately the networks dont give a **** what you think, or over 100,000 of the fans that tuned in.

I want more.

It was more than that...

Plus a little extra with DVR.

I didn't particularly enjoy the pilot. I liked the trailers. I'm a big fan of other serial killing stuff so this didn't come off as special to me. Kevin Bacon is awesome, though. I'll stay for the next couple episodes just to see where they're going with it.

I watched it because of him and Kevin Bacon. I love both of those guys. :D

Pfft... Bacon... Purefoy...

I'm watching for Williamson. :o:up:

Billy Brown and Shawn Ashmore were an added bonus. :D

The only reason I'm watching show, and I mean ONLY reason, is because I enjoy it. If it didn't have that factor I probably wouldn't like it much.

Well, that too, of course.

I'm watching because I'm intrigued by anything to do with serial killers. That's why I can't believe Criminal Minds has gone under my radar. I guess it's just because I don't make it a habit of watching procedurals but I may have to change that this once

Well, that too, of course.

You've been surprisingly 'unrapturous' about the first episode, Sawyer, considering how you were practically wetting yourself over the promos and trailers and press releases in the months leading up to the premiere! :yay:

You have talked matter-of-factly about ratings and cast-changes, but I don't believe I have read your actual opinion of the episode and whether you liked it!

What say you? I'm getting a 'mildly disappointed' vibe from you in the absence of any props!

I'm not mildly disappointed at all. I loved the pilot, even if I was mostly unsurprised by most of what went down. I think that's the downside of something like this being so heavily promoted and talked about, it's hard to keep the surprises (for the pilot at least) under wraps. I'm definitely hoping the following episodes will be more shocking to me, if they are it'll be perfect in my eyes.

Less than a half hour, east coast...

Be there.

Or be dead.

I'm really liking this. My only real complaint right now is I find some of the music choices to be a bit overbearing. Other than that, well shot and acted. Looking forward to next week.

The cover of Angel at the end was a bit weird.

Exactly. Instrumentals fit way better for dramas like these. I also don't want the music to "age" the show if I watch it again few years down the road. Kinda like, I still really like the Matrix but that music during some of the fight scenes?... :barf:

at some point Batman is going to have to step in and help Kevin Bacon before things get really out of hand.

Yeah, I recognized the song itself, but was startled when a guy started singing. I like the original much better. Still a good choice because its a moody, creepy tune.

another fantastic episode

had a feeling that the new female agent was part of Carol's following, but didn't expect it to be revealed so early on

I'm really enjoying this show, and part of that is due to Purefoy. Rome was taken from us too soon, and he rocked that show in all sorts of amazing ways.

Oh, and the short-haired girl is wy-eeeeeeeeered.

I'm not sure if she is or not. I thought they'd tease out a FBI mole possibly being in Carroll's cult until near the middle of the season, not the 2nd episode and the new partner for Hardy.

Ratings: The Following Rises in Week 2, Bones Hits New Season Highs

Fox’s The Following managed to scare up a higher demo rating in its second week, inching up a tenth to a 3.3. In total audience, the dark, dark drama drew 10 million viewers, retaining an impressive 96 percent of its premiere audience.

A rise in the demo, plus retaining a pretty huge percentage of the total audience? I like the sound of this.

Any way, loooved last night's episode. Really intrigued by the nanny/"gay" guys trio. Especially liked the song playing when the nanny offed her mother.

The director Marcos Siega did an interview yesterday, and wouldn't confirm whether or not that was a misdirect, but he made note of Carroll remarking about his lack of reading material early in the episode and might be giving him the Poe book as a way to get what she wants.
