I don't know if someone else has mentioned this before, but who wants to be on how long before [blackout]one of the agents turns out to be in on the cult?[/blackout]

Yea I'm not sure she is a follower really, I think maybe just trying to get on his good side, undercover as a follower? Either way the fact that Joe is not in a dark hole with no access to books and visitors is sad. Break a finger for every day his son is missing, then move on to other bones.

It's an interesting show...but with so many crime shows already on TV...it seems a bit redundant.

except unlike other crime shows, this one is actually interesting and pretty damn f***ed up. I honestly expected the one not-gay guy to go kill the kid when he saw the nanny and other not gay guy having sex, i could very well see that happening in this show, they really don't pull punches lol.

exactly

CSI (take your pick), Law & Order (take your pick, plus the other countless crime shows are pretty lame and all the same for me

but The Following is actually good!

I think what helps this show is the fact that while it is cops chasing after serial killers, it's not a procedural cop show. It's a thriller with one over arching story rather than using the the "case of the week" formula you see in a lot of the other crime shows these days.

Exactly. It's 24 with serial killers.

They sure love there loud rock scores on this show.

Poor kid in a house full of crazy killers. I don't think all these psycho fans of joe will play well together in the long run.

The sleeper cells of a serial killer cult is a pretty original idea. I've not come across that one before.

I'm counting on that lol.

Blast that **** through my eardrums all damn day.

Another great episode, both have been great so far, and when this show is on I cant take my eyes off it.

Awesome episode, and a theory --

Will/Jacob is bisexual while Billy/Paul is gay

Neither of the guys is straight. One thing that caught me immediately were the longing looks Will gave Billy when they first got to the house. It just seemed to be way too charged to just be two average straight dudes. And then in the preview for next episode it has Billy asking Will if Emma/Deborah knows "how much of a liar he is" - in other words, him pretending to be straight. Another clue about Will's bisexuality is when Emma asks him who his type is - he doesn't say "special girl" but stumbles as to what to say and then says something that wouldn't imply any form of sexuality one way or another.

Billy is really acting like a lover spurned because he hates seeing his "boyfriend" go off with the girl after all the time they've spent together. With that said, I personally think Will is more of a kinsey 2. He leans towards girls - he likes Emma more. While also knowing that Billy is gay and using that against him to make him do his bidding whatever that may be.

There have been theories that the Columbine shooters may have had something going on, unsure if that's true or not. But going all the way be to Leopold and Loeb - usually there are two killers who have a sexual attraction to each other. One is oftentimes bi while the other is flat out gay. Also this knowledge of actual feelings is used to guilt the other party and pull them further than they would have gone without them.

So far the show seems awesomely textbook and I'm pretty sure this relationship is funded upon the textbook notion of when two guys come along, hatch a plot to kill, and fall in love whether they knew they had feelings that way prior or not. Just when they got to the house it seemed very "text book" in their relationship together and how it worked - one guy pulling the strings of the other due to knowing actual feelings.

Will might also turn out to be asexual and is only sexual when seeking control and dominance, but right now I'm kind of doubting that because of his shocked reaction when Emma kills her mom. I'd think if he was that kind of sexuality, he would have seemed more turned on than surprised.

Basically they just seem like a modern day Leopold and Loeb.

I've been thinking the same. I just wonder who the guy stuck in the middle will choose when things get more heated... the guy whose strings he can pull or the girl who seems to have her **** figured out. I would assume the former, but I doubt the latter will take whatever comes lying down.

While I think he could throw Paul under the bus just like that without even caring, I think he's going to see who he can control more and how much he can control Emma. If he finds out that he can't manipulate her, she's probably going to be the one he kills. He'll go after the puppet.

I wasn't blown away by the pilot but I thought the second ep saw the show settle into it's rhythm and I enjoyed the laying out of the game so to speak, now knowing there are 9 killers in the group has set a more definite stage.

The guy in the mask is going to be a big reveal for sure but I wonder if we have even been introduced to the character yet. I thought Natalie Zea was really good in this ep and Purefoy was less hammy than last week. Joe's reaction when he discovered Ryan hadn't killed Jordi was interesting.

The director Marcos Siega did an interview yesterday, and wouldn't confirm whether or not that was a misdirect, but he made note of Carroll remarking about his lack of reading material early in the episode and might be giving him the Poe book as a way to get what she wants.

I think that's all it was, I mean she did it in front of a guard, and she's supposed to be a hardened cult expert, unless her relationship with Carol goes way back she's not the type he should be able to have mind****ed in the last decade.

Not a Deftones fan, though I knew it was them as soon as I heard the song.

wow...the second episode was a major drop in quality. the first episode wasnt that good but second season really decreased massively quality. the only thing that really keeps me watching the show is purefoy..

That's nice, dear. Hows about you go Netflix Rome then, so we won't have to hear you ***** even more in the weeks to come... :o

Like I need you to tell me to do that... :o

looks like to me that tv shows and superherohype are the only things tha matter in your life. tv shows and superherohype forum (see posting amount). i just hope someday you dont realize that there are great things outside your house/room...

Seeing as how you're subjecting yourself to a show that you don't like on the basis of ONE actor, I really doubt that you've got a whole lot going on yourself. :o

well i liked the concept, the idea behind the show but the execution is poor. kevin bacon is just embarrassing, but mostly it's the writers fault. too many klischees and so on. the only one who keeps doing is his job is purefoy.

this show would have been much better on showtime/hbo/fx or amc...

I like it so far, though I shouldn't be watching the show since it probably gives me nightmares :csad:. I like the concept and many of the actors so I will toughen it up.
