No, it would be a bad idea.

Kick Ass isn't campy. It's satire, it's taking the piss out of super heroes. In a very violent way. It's actually a brilliant concept. Comic book fanboy (much like ourselves) decides he wants to be a super hero. And finds out it isn't as awesome as it looks in the books and the movies.

Therefore, no, it wouldn't be a good idea for X-Men.

The trailer looks feeble and weak. You couldn't pay me to go see it. :down No way would I want X-men to be done so pathetically. :(

What? Feeble and weak? What because they don't have super powers?

Seriously, Kick Ass is a great concept. You should keep an open mind about things like satire.

Nope, kids acting like freaks. An assassin's daughter that young with the mouth of a sailor? Please. However good the comic may have been (I have not read it) the film looks horrid. It's so over the top and unrealistic it looks horrible to me. It's not translating well.

See there is elements in it that i could see in first class.

Like the central character focusing on Cyclops... instead of any of the other x-men characters. Cyclops is being taught how to control his powers however, he discovers he can use them to help fight crime. Thus giving a better understanding to why the x-men was created. I always found the comic book verson of events as to why the x-men were created a little stupid. Xavier had his school, there was a threat but why train up an army of mutants to fight for his cause if there was no inccident to warrent it.

Maybe having Cyclops use his ability to help fight against anti-mutant threats which makes xavier think about the possibility of building an x-men team.

Thank you.

I thought it looked awful.

It looks ok to me. Fits the tone of the comic, and the early reviews have been really good so far. But X-Men done in that style? No thanks.
