Alright, gambit should have been in the original series and its totally awesome he was in this one. the movie was quick and vague enough that you could trace a back story into almost any of the major characters but could someone please please please make a gambit spinoff? that would kick ass and i even liked taylor in the role. he was pretty awesome :)

Well, they are already in talks for spin offs of Deadpool and Gambit.

I think he could very well carry one his own spinoff. There's a lot of background in his life to create a great scrip, and he has so much carisma and personality and charm and everything! I'm digging the idea, yeah

And your sig has nothing to do with you wanting a gambit spinoff?

Like I said before in the Gambit thread, I think he can carry his own film but it isn't time for that yet, he should be more established in another movie first, with more screen time and more development. A solo movie would be a bad idea IMO.

I agree. A 5-10 minute role in a Wolverine film isn't a very solid foundation for a solo film. It took Wolverine three films as a main character to earn his.

Gambit has enough personality and style to warrant his own movie. If anything, his appearance in this bad movie only hurts his credibility. Interesting characters don't need to first establish themselves in other movies, it's not like the Predator debuted in Aliens.

I think the blob deserves his own movie as well.

id love to see a gambit movie...but scared to death they would ruin it

Whats funny is that if they did a Gambit movie and gave him invisibility, flight, invulnerability and super strength, and took away his cards and energy powers...these same people would clamor for a sequel so they could get him right.

True that :csad: It's indeed one of the scariest things ever. Personally, I wouldn't mind too much if what'd happen in the movie is not identical to what happened in the comics; I just wished they got his personality and lines right.

I say have it based before x men but after origins he could of went back to new Orleans afraid of prosecution of the government.Possibly thinking he had something to do with what happened at weapon x so he went on the run.He cant be in doors in fancy casinos making his money for a living because he would bring too much attention to himself. He will occasionally do so because he cant help himself but he would be living on the streets hustling on the street like Gambit form the Ultimate series.

I think it would be a good premise to start his film off with

Predator is it's own entity while Gambit is spun off of the X-Men. In order for a spin off to be warranted, the character has to be popular enough in the original series.

Well that hasn't happened, so you don't really know how we'd react, do you? And there's a difference between taking creative licenses with a character and completely turning him into something he's not.

Hey...!? How did we get here? :hehe: (we're in X-Men sequels now, not X-Men origins discussion anymore).

It happened with Deadpool, and people are clamoring for a solo film so they can get another crack at getting him right.

Dont act like Im just inventing something here...

Theres no opening to have gambit in the series. So gambit needs his own movie before he joins the x-men cast.

As i said, you need x-men origins gambit and include an older him in x4

If Wolverine with Gambit makes less than expected, then Gambit without Wolverine will make even less.

In other words...expect the care and attention given to Ghost Rider and Daredevil.

Oh yeah...expect Cable and any other mutant they can think of to be worked into it as well.

You're not... you're just ignoring that people were thinking about a Deadpool (and to a lesser extent, Gambit) spinoff from the second they announced that said characters would be in Wolverine.
