Geez Clemons and Boynton are awesome choices. I'll be happy with whomever gets picked.

I'd be cool with Clemons as well. And Iris being Black doesn't bother me at all. It's not like her race has ever been a defining/essential part of her character anyway.
As an aside, I've never really seen Rita Ora in anything. So could someone please explain why so many people here seem to be down on her as an option, I'm curious about that?

According to a reddit user, Palmer congratulated her best friend (Clemons) for snagging the female role in the movie.Link is broke. What does it say?

Pretty af
Of course she would get cast. I mean it's really transparent, Rita Ora is pretty much the joke choice and I hate to be that guy, but they would never cast Lucy Boynton because of the ****storm that would follow if they choose a white actress over the other two. So much for white privilege. lol Boynton is on the list so when they end up casting Clemons, they can say they didn't cast her for diversity reasons, but because she was the best actress. Like who are they trying to fool here, they should've just announced Kiersey got the role from the start and that's it.
If they wanted to stir away from the TV show, they should stick to the comics then? This is just dumb and insulting to Black peopleYeah, she is.

Wally is black in New 52 though. Not sure if it's still the case after whole Rebirth thing. I can't keep up with DC reboots, nor do I try anymore, to be honest.

There's only been 2 reboots.
Crisis and Flashpoint.
Rebirth is basically a relaunch where a character from outside the DCU caused major changes to the multiverse when Flashpoint happened.
There's two Wally Wests now. Redhead Wally who is a Flash and is part of the Titans. And his younger biracial cousin Wallace, Kid Flash, who is part of the Teen Titans. They're both named after their grandfather.
I don't think it was ever a competition, more like throwing one crappy casting choice and one of an actress that looks like Iris from comics on the list to show them covering the ground.
