Killing Joke Action Figures?

I was reading the latest issue of Toyfare yesterday, it says that "TKJ" figures won't come out until next year around January.

Hopefully between now and then some final touches will be made.

Although The Joker looks excellent right now.

I came across some pics that show the darker paint scheme people were referencing earlier. If I can pose Joker to match the TKJ cover, I'll literally scream with delight. These are so ****ing bought.

RELEASE DATE: June 2008

All it takes is one bad day to drive an average, modest man irretrievably insane. You're none of those, so think of the peril you're in just crossing the street to get some milk! Stave off bad days with the high comedy of these figures based on Brian Bolland's art from his and Alan Moore’s graphic novel The Killing Joke. Then, when life strips you of everything you have, you can fall back on this boxed set of Joker and his straight (Bat)man. Like most Gotham tourists, Joker carries a shotglass, a camera and a gun.

That frontal shot has kinda changed my mind.

The paint scheme looks better too.

I doubt they would be all painted like that. I could pray though.

Yeah, thats the pic that was in ToyFare. Notice how they really nailed Bolland's bat ears? Also notice how the gloves and boots are gloss? I would still like to see the paint darker yet but it is much better then the first pic.....

Horrible thought: I sure hope we don't get a naked Commisioner Gordon figure! :wow:

This is wonderful, but I would like a 12 inch figure of Bolland's Joker in a purple suit. That is my dream figure.

bolland needs a whole line, with all his different joker outfits and facial expressions

and where is jokers through the years box set!!!!!!?????????????

In the first scene of TKJ, when Batman's sitting at the table under the light, his suit is fully illuminated and a much brighter blue than the rest of the comic (where it's basically black with blue highlights). So technically, since the figure isn't shrouded in darkness, a lighter blue suit is more accurate.

Having said that, I definitely prefer the second set of pics with the darker blue. It's a nice balance between the pure-blue and the almost-black from the comic.

I  those figures. They are too awesome for words.

Where and when are they availible?

I would have painted BatMan more towards Black or the darkest navy blue, but other wise amazing figures.:woot: I hope they do one of Joker dressed up as the Red Hood or just a standard Mr.J.

These are supposed to be out on Wednesday. No way I pass them up.

Ah I thought it was today. Well then I know where i'll be tomorrow morning.

Best Batman figure ever?

Definitely! It looks like he even comes with a batarang.

I think Id do a repaint on the Batman fig. That all blue color just isnt looking right.

Ditto. Black Sharpie Permanent Markers will take care of that on the one I buy! Batman is going to require my finest point Sharpie's, I see!

The Batman that comes in the Killing Joke boxset is also being released in another set with a removable head that you can replace with a Hugo Strange one. So that might be the brighter coloured blue one.

Damn, I don't need to buy another copy of The Killing Joke, I just got the reprint for my birthday... I want to buy them separately D:

You'll have to wait tell October 8th to buy them separately and get different head sculpts. A Hugo Strange head with an extra Batman head.

And a Joker head without a hat.
